12 March 1990 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Makotuku Hotel, corner Matamou and Ormondville Roads, Makotuku.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On every Thursday and Saturday. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Manawatu Licensing Committee

Pursuant to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary of Justice, hereby give notice that the Manawatu Licensing Committee on 12 March 1990 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Empire Hotel, corner Main and Princess Streets, Palmerston North.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On every Monday to Thursday. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Friday and Saturday. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every Christmas Eve (not being a Sunday). Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve. (not being a Sunday). Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Pursuant to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary of Justice, hereby give notice that the Taranaki Licensing Committee on 16 March 1990 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Club Hotel, Opunake.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, and Saturday. Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

Public Trust

School Trustees Act 1989

Trust Notice

Pursuant to section 19 of the School Trustees Act 1989 and with the approval of the Solicitor-General, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice of modification of the trusts described in the schedules hereto (subject to payment of current scholarships) as from 1 October 1989.

First Schedule

The McLaughlan Scholarships established by the will of Mary Jane McLaughan, late of Auckland, widow and previously held by the Whangarei High Schools Board of Governors will be divided both as to capital and income (including accrued income) equally between the Boards of Trustees of Whangarei Boys’ High School and Whangarei Girls’ High School.

Second Schedule

The scholarship established by paragraph 6 of the will of George Kerr, late of Maungatapere, settlor, deceased and administered by the Public Trustee at Whangarei who paid the income to the former Whangarei High Schools Board of Governors will be divided both as to capital and income (including accrued income) equally between the Boards of Trustees of Whangarei Boys’ High School and Whangarei Girls’ High School.

Queen Elizabeth II National Trust

New Class of Membership of the Queen Elizabeth the Second National Trust

Pursuant to section 5 (2) of the Queen Elizabeth the Second National Trust Act 1977, the Minister of Conservation, on the recommendation of the Board of Directors of the Trust, hereby establishes a new class of membership of the trust as follows:

Honorary covenant members, being persons who purchase or obtain a lease over land subject to existing open space covenants under section 22 of the said Act, and whom the Board determines by resolution to be entitled to be distinguished as honorary covenant members.
