Conservation Act 1987

Declaration That Land be an Historic Reserve and Declaring it to be Part of the Earnscleugh Dredge Tailings Historic Reserve

Pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the conservation land, described in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart as a reserve subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, classified as an historic reserve subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and further declares the said reserve to form part of the Earnscleugh Dredge Tailings Historic Reserve.

Otago Land District—Central Otago District

24.50 hectares, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. Plan 22853, situated in Block I, Fraser Survey District and Block X, Leaning Rock Survey District. All New Zealand Gazette, 1989, page 1738.

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Forestry being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land jointly hereby declare that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes and it shall hereafter be so held.

Revocation of a Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall Be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Director of Estate Protection Policy of the Department of Conservation hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for local purpose (road) over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Upper Hutt City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council's reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
