In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982:
Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on the 21st day of February 1989, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:

That the name of the practitioner Patrick Barry Prescott be struck off the roll of barristers and solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand.

That the practitioner pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of $1,442 in respect of the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the Tribunal.

That the practitioner pay to the Hawkes Bay District Law Society the sum of $11,000 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by its District Council.

Sale of Liquor Act 1962
Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Waikato Licensing Committee
Pursuant to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Waikato Licensing Committee on 10 July 1989, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Ngatea Hotel, Orchard Road, Ngatea.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Friday and Saturday of each week and on Christmas Eve, closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(b) On New Year’s Day, Closing at 12.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(a) On any Friday and Saturday throughout the year, the tavern shall close at 11 o’clock in the evening,
(b) On any Thursday preceding Easter, the tavern shall close at 11 o’clock in the evening.
(c) On any New Year’s Eve, the tavern shall close at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.
