Notice of Intention to Hold an Inquiry into the Operation of a Continuous Taxicab Service Licence

To: Harcourt Lloyd Knight (referred to below as "the licensee")

And to: The Secretary for Transport

Take notice that, pursuant to section 140 of the Transport Act 1962, the licensing authority for the No. 8. Transport Licensing District (L. P. Wollermaan), will hold a public inquiry into the manner of operation of the service conducted under Continuous Taxicab Service Licence No. 96150, to determine that the said licence, held by the licensee, should be revoked, suspended or varied.

The inquiry is being conducted pursuant to section 140 of the Transport Act 1962, on the grounds that:

owing to changed circumstances the licensee no longer meets the criteria set out in section 124 of the Act.

The public inquiry will be held at Blenheim on the 14th day of July in the Conference Room, Blenheim Borough Council Chambers commencing at 2.30 p.m.

The licensee and the Secretary for Transport are entitled to be heard at this public inquiry, and may be represented by a lawyer or other agent. Any of those persons or bodies may seek further information regarding the inquiry from the undersigned.
