Plant Varieties Act 1973
Application for Protective Direction and Plant Selectors’ Rights (Notice No. 4390, Ag. P.V. 3/18)
Pursuant to section 11 of the Plant Varieties Act 1973, notice is hereby given that an application for a grant of Protective Direction and a grant of Plant Selectors’ Rights as specified in the Schedule hereto, has been received by the Registrar of Plant Varieties. If it is considered that any interested person will be unfairly affected by the applications, that person may lodge an objection with the Registrar within 2 months from the date of this Gazette. Objections must comply with section 19 of the Plant Varieties Act 1973.

At Wellington this 16th day of May 1988

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 4 of the Military Decorations and Distinctive Badges Act 1918, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

Title — This order may be cited as the Returned Services Associations Badge Order 1987, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Returned Services Associations Badge Order 1987* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

Amendments to Second Schedule — (1) The Second Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by inserting, after the item relating to the Ashhurst Returned Services Association, the following item:
“Auckland Returned Services Association (Incorporated)”.
(2) The Second Schedule to the principal order is hereby further amended by inserting, after the item relating to the Eltham Returned Services Association, the following item:
“Featherston Returned Services Association (Incorporated)”.
(3) The Second Schedule to the principal order is hereby further amended by inserting, after the item relating to the Te Awamutu Returned Services Association, the following item:
“Te Kauwhata Returned Services Association (Incorporated)”.
(4) The Second Schedule to the principal order is hereby further amended by inserting, after the item relating to the Waimate Returned Services Association, the following item:
“Wainuiomata Returned Services Association (Incorporated)”.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order adds 4 returned services associations to the list of those associations whose members are entitled to wear the RSA badge.

The Taranaki Polytechnic Notice 1988
Pursuant to section 69 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- (1) This notice may be cited as the Taranaki Polytechnic Notice 1988.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

There shall be a board of governors, to be known as the Council of the Taranaki Polytechnic, which shall control the Taranaki Polytechnic.

The council of the Taranaki Polytechnic shall be constituted as follows:
(a) Two members elected by the governing bodies of secondary schools in the provincial district of Taranaki, one to represent the governing bodies of Inglewood and Waitara secondary schools and all secondary schools within the New Plymouth city boundary and one to represent the governing bodies of all other secondary schools in the provincial district of Taranaki including the Taranaki Education Board.
(b) Two members appointed by the Taranaki Local Bodies Association.
(c) Two members elected by the associations of employers in local industries situated within the provincial district of Taranaki.
(d) Two members elected by the associations of employees in local industries situated within the provincial district of Taranaki.
(e) One member appointed by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc.) (Taranaki provincial district).
(f) One member elected by the Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants and the Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Management.
