Otago Catchment Board Notice

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Flood Protection Purposes in Blocks III, IV and IX, Town of Outram, Silverpeaks County

Notice is hereby given that the Otago Catchment Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for flood protection purposes, such land to be used to control the waters of the Taieri River, and it is considered essential to take this land due to the registered owners being of unknown whereabouts (deceased).

Any persons having an estate or interest in the land may within 20 days after the date of first publication of this notice send an objection to The Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Postal Centre, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
