Public Disclosure
I, William Ernest Borrie Tucker, Deputy Chairman of the Commerce Commission, hereby make the following public disclosure as required by section 14 (3) of the Commerce Act 1986 (the Act):
Pursuant to section 14 (2) of the Act Colleen Elizabeth Dewe, Member of the Commerce Commission has disclosed the following pecuniary interests in businesses or bodies corporate carrying on business in New Zealand:
(1) No more than 6,500 ordinary shares in New Zealand Forest Products Ltd.
(2) No more than 1,341 ordinary shares in Rada Corporation Ltd.
(3) No more than 1,341 ordinary shares in Prorada Properties Ltd.
and those businesses or bodies corporate are concerned in matters before the Commerce Commission, being matters in the determination of which the member who has the above interests is or will be participating, namely:
(1) A merger or takeover proposal that Elders IXL Ltd. and any interconnected body corporate thereof may acquire up to 100 percent of the issued share capital and listed options in Rada Corporation Ltd. [AUT/MT-E12/1].
(2) A merger or takeover proposal that Elders IXL Ltd. and or any interconnected body corporate thereof may acquire up to 100 percent of the issued share capital in New Zealand Forest Products Ltd. [AUT/MT-E12/3].
(3) A merger or takeover proposal that New Zealand Forest Products Ltd. and or any interconnected body corporate thereof may acquire all the issued fully paid and partly paid ordinary shares in and convertible notes issued by Elders Resources Ltd. [AUT/MT-N11/4].
(4) A merger or takeover proposal that Fletcher Challenge Ltd. and or any interconnected body corporate thereof may acquire all of the assets of Panelcorp Industries Ltd. other than:
(1) Those employed in connection with or appropriated to the multi-wall bag operations;
(2) The land and buildings of the plywood plant [AUT/MT F7/7].
(5) A merger or takeover proposal that Fletcher Challenge Ltd. and or any interconnected body corporate thereof may make a net acquisition of planted and plantable forest estate of 31,012 hectares from New Zealand Forest Products Ltd. [AUT/MT-F7/8].

Pursuant to section 11 of the Commerce Act 1986, the Minister of Trade and Industry has appointed
Christopher Holden Toogood of Wellington
to be an associate member of the Commerce Commission for matters relating to enforcement of Part II of the Commerce Act and enforcement under Part V of the Fair Trading Act for a period of 1 year commencing from the 1st day of February 1988.
