TRAFFIC REGULATIONS 1976

Approval of Motorcycle Safety Helmets

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by an Instrument of Delegation dated the 3rd day of August 1987, motorcycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved for the purposes of regulation 31 of the said regulations.

Schedule

Safety helmets manufactured by Romer G.m.b.H, West Germany, complying with E.C.E. regulation 22.02 and bearing the model designations and marks of homologation:

  • Jet–1/L E14 22R 021002
  • Jet–1/S E14 22R 021002
  • MX–1-M E1 02300002
  • MX–1-L E1 02300001

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Bruce District) Notice No. 1, 1988

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, to C. Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Bruce District) Notice No. 1, 1988.

The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21(2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The notice dated the 9th day of November 1959 issued pursuant to the Transport Act 1949 which relates to roads situated within Kaitangata Borough is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Bruce District at Kaitangata:

All roads within that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of Brembridge Street at its intersection with the western side of Water Street; thence southerly, generally, along the said side of Water Street to the northern side of No. 91 State Highway (Balclutha-Kaitangata); thence westerly, generally, along the northern side of the said State Highway to a point 250 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State Highway from its intersection with Water Street; thence across the said State Highway at a right angle from its northern side to its southern side; thence easterly, generally, along the southern side of the said State Highway to the western side of Water Street; thence southerly, generally, along the said side of Water Street to the west side of Front Street; thence across Front Street at a right angle from its western side to its eastern side; thence south-easterly, generally, by a right line to the western end of the southern side of Start Street; thence easterly along the said side of Start Street to the western side of Salcombe Street; thence across Salcombe Street to its eastern side; thence north-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the eastern end of St Albans Street; thence across St Albans Street from its southern side to its northern side; thence northerly, generally, to a point on the northern side of the south-eastern end of Hurst Street; thence north-westerly, generally, along the northern side of Hurst Street across Eddystone Street to a point on the western side of Eddystone Street; thence south-westerly, generally, along the said side of Eddystone Street across No. 91 State Highway (Balclutha-Kaitangata) to the southern side of the said State Highway; thence north-westerly, generally, along the southern side of the said State Highway to the commencement point on the western side of Water Street.

Second Schedule

Situated within Bruce District at Kaitangata:

Number 91 State Highway (Balclutha-Kaitangata): from a point 250 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said state highway from its intersection with the west side of Water Street to the Inch Clutha Bridge.

Transport Licensing Authority Sitting

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, as amended by the Transport Amendment Act No. 2 1983, the No. 6 Transport District Licensing Authority (W. O’Brien), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting to receive evidence or representations, whether submitted in writing or presented in person for or against the granting of them in the Ministry of Transport, Government Centre, Aitau Road, Turangi, commencing on Tuesday, 1st March 1988 at 3 p.m.

Applicants must be present or represented. All documents for alteration must be handed in at the sitting.
