Glen Eden Fire District Cancellation Notice 1988

Pursuant to section 26 of the Fire Services Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Glen Eden Fire District Cancellation Notice 1988.

(2) This notice shall be deemed to have come into effect on the 1st day of November 1988.

2. Glen Eden Fire District cancellation—The Glen Eden Fire District as declared by the Glen Eden Fire District Notice 1986 in the New Zealand Gazette 1986, page 1667, is hereby abolished and the area so defined is absorbed into the Auckland Fire District as defined in the New Zealand Gazette 1986, page 1665, and as amended by the Papatoetoe Fire District Cancellation Notice 1986 in the New Zealand Gazette, 1986, page 2558.

New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board

1. Election of four producer members, two to represent producers in the Northern Ward and two to represent producers in the Southern Ward.

I hereby give notice that an election will be held to elect the above four members as prescribed in the amended regulations, on 31 October 1988.

The electoral roll of producers will be available for inspection during normal office hours from Wednesday, October 5 to Monday, October 10 for the Northern Ward at the following places: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries' office in Keri Keri and New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board offices in Auckland and Tauranga, and for the Southern Ward, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries' offices in Hastings, Palmerston North and New Plymouth, the Post Office in Richmond, Nelson and the New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board in Tauranga.

2. Nominations of Candidates for Election

Nominations close at noon on Monday, October 10 1988 with the Returning Officer, New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board.

The amended regulations provide that:

"No person shall be eligible for election as a producers' representative unless;

(a) The person's name is entered on the roll;

(b) The person has been nominated in writing by two or more producers whose names appear on the roll as producers for at least 18.5 tonnes of kiwifruit (i.e., 5,000 trays) for export in the season prior to the election;

(c) The person has, by writing in the prescribed form or by letter, telegram, telex or facsimile transmission, to the Returning Officer, accepted nomination;

(d) And has, within seven days of accepting nomination, paid to the Returning Officer a deposit of $110.00 ($100.00 deposit plus $10.00 GST)."
