District Anglers (West Coast and Westland Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 71 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the West Coast and Westland Acclimatisation Societies amend the District Anglers (West Coast and Westland Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1987, pages 4522–4524.

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (West Coast and Westland Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (West Coast and Westland Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1988.

  1. Open season—Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended in subclause (3) by inserting after paragraph (x) the following paragraph:

“(y) Poerua River (Westland Acclimatisation District) downstream of State Highway 69.”

  1. Closed season—Clause 4 of the principal notice is amended by repealing subclause (2) and substituting the following subclause:

“(2) There shall be a closed season for fishing for quinnat salmon—

(a) From the 1st day of April to the 31st day of August in the same year (both days inclusive), in Lake Mapourika, Lake Wahapo, the Okarito River and their tributaries.

(b) From the 1st day of May to the 30th day of September in the same year (both days inclusive) in all other waters.

District Anglers (South Canterbury and Waitaki Valley Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 71 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the South Canterbury and Waitaki Valley Acclimatisation Societies amend the District Anglers (South Canterbury and Waitaki Valley Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987, Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday, 24 September 1987, page 4517–4519.

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (South Canterbury and Waitaki Valley Districts) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (South Canterbury and Waitaki Valley Districts) Notice 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1988.

  1. Daily limit bag—Clause 10 of the principal notice is amended—

(1) By repealing paragraph (b) of subclause (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(b) 10 trout from any waters within the South Canterbury Acclimatisation District, except Lake Alexandrina, Lake McGregor and the tributaries of the Tekapo River.”

(2) By inserting after paragraph (d) of subclause (2) of a new paragraph:

“(e) 4 acclimatised fish from the tributaries of the Tekapo River.”

District Anglers (North Canterbury Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 71 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society amends the District Anglers (North Canterbury Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday, 24 September 1987, page 4513–4515.

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (North Canterbury Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (North Canterbury Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1988.

  1. Open season—Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended by repealing paragraph (e) of subclause (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(e) The Selwyn River downstream from the point where the South Springston Road meets the river at the upstream end of the upper Selwyn Huts.”

  1. Daily limit bag—Clause 10 of the principal notice is amended—

(1) By deleting from subclause (1) the words “trout or salmon” and substituting the words “acclimatised fish”.

(2) By repealing paragraph (c) of subclause (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(c) 6 trout taken from any other water except from the Clarence River Catchment where the limit shall be 2 acclimatised fish.”

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Otago Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Otago Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal notice”).

(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1988.

  1. Open season—Subclause (3) (i) of clause 3 of the principal notice is repealed and the following subclause is substituted:

“(3) (i) Lake Waihola, including the waterways connecting.
