3. Open season—Subclause (3) (f) of clause 3 of the principal notice is repealed and the following subclause is substituted:

“(3) (f) The water of Leith downstream from the Anzac Avenue footbridge.”

4. Closed Season—Clause 4 (2) (c) of the principal notice is repealed.

5. Authorised tackle—The principal notice is amended by adding the words “or her” after the word “his” in the second line of clause 5 (3).

6. Authorised tackle—Subclause (7) of clause 5 of the principal notice is repealed and the following subclause is substituted:

“(7) No licence holder when fishing for acclimatised fish shall use:

(a) More than two lures or baits:

(b) Any bait or lure treated with any medicinal or chemical preparation other than:

(i) In the case of artificial fly, oil used solely to give buoyancy to such flies, and

(ii) In the case of natural baits, a formalin or other preservative preparation;

(c) On or in conjunction with any fly, spoonbait, minnow, or other lure any double or treble hook or other fixed multiple assembly of hooks any one hook of which has a greater distance than 13 mm between the point and the nearest part of the shank of the hook;

(d) Any unsportsmanlike device or method.”

7. Prohibition on unauthorised fishing tackle, etc.—Clause 6 of the principal notice is amended by repealing the words “any paravane” in the second last line.

8. Authorised lures and baits—Clause 9 of the principal notice is repealed and the following clause is substituted:

“9. Authorised lures and baits—No licence holder shall fish for acclimatised fish with any artificial or natural bait or artificial or natural lure other than fly, insect, worm, crustacea, minnow, fish (excluding fish ova or any portion of a fish or any shellfish (mollusca)), amphibian or mammal.”

9. Daily limit bag—Subclause (2) (b) of clause 10 of the principal notice is repealed and the following subclause is substituted:

“(b) Trout taken from the Pomahaka River upstream from Park Hill Bridge.”

10. Daily limit bag—Subclause (3) of clause 10 of the principal notice is amended by repealing the words “taken or” in the last line.

District Anglers (Wellington Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 71 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Wellington Acclimatisation Society amends the District Anglers (Wellington Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”) as follows:

1. Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Wellington Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Wellington Acclimatisation District) Notice 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1988.

2. Open season—Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended by inserting after paragraph (aa) of subclause (2) a new paragraph:

“(ab) Henley Lake (Masterton).”

3. Authorised tackle—Clause 4 of the principal notice is amended by repealing paragraph (a) of subclause (5) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a) Hautapu, above the road bridge numbered 741/10.96 on State Highway 1 by the Taihape Golf Club.

Pursuant to section 71 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Hawera, Stratford and Taranaki Acclimatisation Societies amend the District Anglers (Hawera, Stratford and Taranaki Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987, Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, No. 164 of Friday, 25 September 1987, pages 4509–4510.

1. Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Hawera, Stratford and Taranaki Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Hawera, Stratford and Taranaki Acclimatisation Districts) Notice 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1988.

2. Open season—Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended by repealing paragraphs (a), (b) (ii), and (d) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a) There shall be an open season from the 1st day of May to the 30th day of September in the same year (both days inclusive) in Lake Mangamahoe, Lake Rotomanu, Lake Opunake.”

3. Open season—Clause 3 of the principal notice is further amended by inserting after paragraph (d) the following paragraph:

“(e) No licence holder shall fish for or take any acclimatised fish except during an open season.”
