(2) That selenium pellets containing not more than 10 g/kg of selenium as selenate (containing not more than 10 percent of selenium as selenite), for application to pasture and crops, either alone or mixed with solid fertiliser at a rate not exceeding 1 kg of pellets per hectare are exempted from all sections except subsection (1) of section 3 of the Animal Remedies Act 1967, and from regulations 26 to 34 inclusive of the Animal Remedies Regulations 1980.

Pursuant to section 65 of the Fisheries Act 1983, section 62 of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Minister of Fisheries (dated at Wellington on the 23rd day of April 1987), the Acting Assistant Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice:

- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Species and Area Prohibition) Notice 1988.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 19th day of September 1988.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) Any reference to a Quota Management Area means the appropriate Quota Management Area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986;
(b) The words all "New Zealand" fisheries waters" have the meaning ascribed thereto in the Fisheries Act 1983.
- Restrictions on fishing—As from the date this notice comes into effect until the 30th day of September 1989 (hereinafter called "the period"), it shall be a condition of all fishing permits issued or renewed during the period that the holder of the permit is prohibited from fishing in the following fisheries:
