All that area in the Wellington and Taranaki Land Districts commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the mouth of the Waitotara River in Block XII, Waitotara Survey District (Wellington Land District), and proceeding generally north-easterly up the middle of that river to its confluence with the Mangapapa Stream; thence easterly up the middle of that stream to and along the generally southern boundaries of Section 28, Block V, Nukumaru Survey District to Trig Station Wharekauhau; thence generally northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 28 and 4, Block V, Nukumaru Survey District, the end of Waitotara Road, the eastern boundary of Section 12, Block I, Nukumaru Survey District and a right line across the Mangapupuni Stream to and along the generally eastern boundaries of Section 14, Block I, Nukumaru Survey District and Rangitatau 1D3 to its north-eastern corner; thence generally easterly along the southern boundaries of Section 9, Block II, Nukumaru Survey District and Sections 12 and 11, Block XIV, Moumahaki Survey District to the eastern side of Junction Road; thence generally northerly along that side to the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 11; thence generally north-westerly along that boundary to and down the middle of the Mangamingi Stream to its confluence with the Te Korokio Stream; thence generally north-easterly up the middle of that stream to and along the generally north-western boundaries of Mangamui-O-Tahu Block (crossing Piraunui Road) to and easterly along the northern boundary of that block to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 2765; thence generally north-westerly to and along that boundary and the southern and western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 2764, to the northern boundary of the said Lot 1; thence easterly along that boundary and its production to the middle of Waitotara Road; thence generally north-westerly along the middle of that road, Pipiriki Road, and Pokeke Road (Taranaki Land District) to the summit of the western watershed of the Wanganui River; thence northerly along that watershed passing through Trig Station Mangaonoho in Block XII, Taukakawa Survey District to Mount Humphries in Block III, Taukakawa Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line in the direction of the confluence of the Tangarakau and Wanganui Rivers in Block XII, Mahoe Survey District to the middle of the Wanganui River; thence generally southerly down the middle of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of Ohoutahi 1A in Block XIV, Karere Survey District (Wellington Land District); thence generally north-easterly to and along that boundary (crossing Wanganui River Road) and the generally north-western and northern boundaries of Section 1, Block XIV aforesaid, (crossing Otaranoho Road) to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 29340 and its production to the middle of the Matauwhiu Stream; thence generally southerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 29340; thence to and along that boundary (crossing Mangoihe Track) and the eastern boundary of the said Lot 4 and its production to the middle of the Mangoihe Stream; thence up the middle of that stream and the Matipo Stream to the western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 29363; thence south-westerly along that boundary, the northern and generally north-western boundaries of Mairehau 2 (M.L. 4985) to the northern boundary of Morikaunui Block, thence generally easterly, southerly, and westerly along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of the said block to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 29336; thence southerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Matahiwi Track; thence generally easterly along the middle of that track to a point in line with the generally north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 29350; thence generally south-easterly to and along that boundary, the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 29354 and the southern boundary of Ohotu 9 and its production to the middle of the Mangawhero River; thence up the middle of that river to its confluence with the Auaraki Stream; thence generally north-easterly up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4978, to and along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of that lot, the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 4978, the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 27919 to and up the middle of the Haupokopoko Stream and the Karokia Stream to and along the generally north-eastern boundary of Ohotu 6A1B and its production to the middle of the Waokamaka Stream and down the middle of that stream to its confluence with the Whangaehu River; thence generally northerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 1, Block IV Ngamatea Survey District; thence easterly to and along that boundary, along a right line across Whangawha Valley Road to and along the northern boundary of Section 8, Block IV aforesaid, along a right line across Ohakura Road to and along the generally northern boundaries of Section 6 and Section 7, Block IV aforesaid, and Lot 1, D.P. 41863 to the eastern boundary of the said Lot 1; thence southerly along that boundary, the eastern boundaries of Section 7 aforesaid and Sections 6 and 9 Block XVII Ngamatea Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block VIII aforesaid; thence generally easterly along that boundary, the northern boundary of Section 11, Block VIII aforesaid, and its production to the middle of the Koukoupoko Stream; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 69, Block XVI, Ngamatea Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Hales Road; thence generally southerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 77, Block XVI aforesaid; thence to and along that boundary and the northern boundary of Section 60, Block XVI aforesaid, to the western boundary of Section 66 Block XIII Mangaohane Survey District; thence generally southerly along that boundary and by right lines along the summit of the eastern watershed of the Whangaehu River to the northernmost point of part Section 1, Block IV, Mangaohere Survey District (C.T. 212/213); thence generally southerly along the generally western boundaries of the said part Section 1, Sections 6, 5, 9 and 10, Block VIII Mangaohere Survey District, Lot 4B, Plan 144, and Section 3A, Block XII Mangaohere Survey District to the northern boundary of Section 2A, Block XII aforesaid; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Section 2A (crossing James Road) to the north-western corner of the said Section 2A; thence generally southerly and westerly along the western boundary of that section and the summit of the eastern watershed of the Whangaehu River to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 33, Block XII, Mangaohere Survey District to a point on the summit of the aforesaid eastern watershed; thence generally south-westerly along the said summit to and along the northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 3465 and the north-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 8830 to the northernmost point of Lot 2, D.P. 5954; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 2, and the northern boundaries of Mangatipona West D2A and D2 to and along a right line passing through trig station Okaiape to a point in the middle of the Whangaehu River distant 362 metres due west of the western boundary of Block XIV, Mangaohere Survey District; thence down the middle of that river to the sea coast; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom the City of Wanganui as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1976, page 2668.
