Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 14) 1987

PURSUANT to section 143 of the Customs Act 1966, the Comptroller of Customs, in accordance with the power delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 9 of that Act, hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Short title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 14) 1987.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 6th day of July 1987.

  1. Exchange rates—Where under any provisions of the Customs Act 1966 any amount which is required to be taken into account for the purpose of assessing duty or any other purpose is not an amount in New Zealand currency, the amount to be so taken into account shall be the equivalent in New Zealand currency of that amount ascertained in accordance with the rate of exchange set out in the Schedule to this notice.

  2. Revocation—The Customs Exchange Rates Notice (No. 13) 1987, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 86, dated 11 June 1987 on page 2558 is hereby revoked.

Revoking State Highway and Declaring Public Highway to be State Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, gives notice that the State highway described in the First Schedule hereto is revoked, and that the public highways described in the Second Schedule hereto are declared to be State highways, within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that section of No. 8 State Highway between Northburn and Lowburn in Cromwell District.

SECOND SCHEDULE

No. 8 State Highway (Deadmans Point Bridge - Northburn).

ALL that section of newly constructed public highway between the Deadmans Point Bridge and Northburn, which supersedes the Vincent County Road, formerly known as Partridge Road, in Cromwell District.

No. 8B State Highway (Deadmans Point Bridge - No. 6 State Highway).

ALL that section of new public highway between the Deadmans Point Bridge and No. 6 State Highway just north of the new Cromwell Town Centre, currently named No. 8 State Highway, in Cromwell District.
