Imposition of Dumping Duty

Pursuant to the provisions of section 186A (2) of the Customs Act 1966, having formed the opinion that the importation of the goods set out in the Schedule causes or is likely to cause material injury to an industry in New Zealand, I hereby direct that dumping duty equivalent to 100 percent of the amount by which the export price is less than the normal value of the goods determined in accordance with section 186B (5) (b) of the Customs Act 1966 shall be paid in respect of the goods set out in the Schedule.

I further direct that such dumping duty shall apply in respect of all such goods imported into New Zealand from 30 January 1987, this being the date of a provisional direction given by me pursuant to section 186E of the Customs Act 1966.

Commerce Act 1987: Merger or Takeover Proposal

Notice is hereby given of the following determination by the Commerce Commission pursuant to section 66 (6) of the Commerce Act 1986.

Decision No. 202 (Ref: AUT/MT-R5/3)

On 25 May 1987 the Commerce Commission determined to give a clearance to a proposal that Rada Corporation Ltd. may acquire up to 100 percent of the issued share capital in New Zealand Forest Products Ltd.

The full text of the determination is available for inspection at the Commission offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Copies may also be purchased on application to the Commission (P.O. Box 10-273, Wellington).

Revoking State Highway and Declaring Public Highway to be State Highway No. 2

Pursuant to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board gives notice that the State highway described in the First Schedule below is revoked, and the new route described in the Second Schedule below is declared to be a State highway within the meaning and for the purpose of the National Roads Act 1953.

FIRST SCHEDULE

That section of No. 2 State Highway from the intersection of Commerce Street and Short Street proceeding in a north-easterly direction along Commerce Street to its intersection with Domain Road and thence proceeding in a westerly direction along Domain Road to its intersection with McAlister Street (R.P. 241/5.11 to R.P. 241/5.27).

SECOND SCHEDULE

That section of McAlister Street in Whakatane between Domain Road and the intersection of Commerce Street and Short Street.

Designation of South Hokianga Community Arts Council

Pursuant to section 32 (i) of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974, on the recommendation of the Northern Regional Arts Council, the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand hereby designates the South Hokianga Community Arts Council for the following duly defined area:

That portion of the Hokianga County Council lying to the south of the Hokianga Harbour, extending from Waipoua boundary to the Taheke boundary.

Designation of Papakura District Community Arts Council and Pukekohe-Franklin Community Arts Council

Pursuant to section 32 (j) of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974, on the recommendation of the Northern Regional Arts Council, the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand hereby designates the Papakura Community Arts Council for the following duly defined area:

To take in Papakura City Council boundaries.

And designates the Pukekohe-Franklin Community Arts Council for the following duly defined area:

Franklin County, Tuakau and Waiuku Boroughs and the Franklin portion of the previous notice headed “Designation of Franklin - Papakura Community Arts Council” which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 70 of 23 June 1977, page 1779.

The boundaries to include the Papakura Stream (bounded in the north) to Clevedon and the Wairoa River. The eastern boundary to be the coastline from the mouth of the Wairoa River to Kaiaua and from Kaiaua across the hills in a direct line to Hunua including Hunua and Paparimu. Then to Ararimu Road to include Ramarama and Drury in the Great South Road. Continuing along the Karaka Road to Blackbridge Road, along Linwood Road to include the Kingseat community and then north to the Manukau Harbour.
