✨ Electricity Supply Licence Conditions

  1. This licence may be cancelled by the Minister of Energy at the request of or with the consent of the Electrical Supply Authority.

  2. At the expiry or cancellation of this licence, the Electrical Supply Authority shall be required by notice in writing by the Minister of Energy remove all buildings, poles and other erections and all transmission lines, plant and other machinery and other removable equipment authorised by the licence to be erected, installed or provided and if within 12 months after being so required the Electrical Supply Authority fails or neglects to remove the same, then the same shall, without payment of any compensation vest in and become the property of the Crown and it shall be lawful for any person authorised by the Minister of Energy in that behalf, subject to compliance with section 15a of the Electricity Act 1968 to enter upon any land or premises and take possession of and remove the same or any part thereof.

  3. Nothing contained in the licence either expressly or by implication shall be deemed to authorise the Electrical Supply Authority to erect, construct or maintain any lines or works except subject to such conditions (not inconsistent with this licence) as may from time to time be lawfully imposed by any local authority within the district of which any such lines or works may be situated.

  4. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (h) and (j) of regulation 13 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1984. The system of supply authorised under paragraph (i) aforesaid shall be a single conductor earth-return system and the same thereof shall be subject to such terms and conditions as are from time to time laid down by the Assistant Secretary to Energy at Wellington.

  5. The Electrical Supply Authority shall, 6 months prior to the expiry of the term of this licence provided in clause 7 herein, make written application to the Minister of Energy for the granting of a new licence.

SCHEDULE

AREA OF SUPPLY

ALL that area in the Canterbury and Otago Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at the summit of Mount Hopkins in the Southern Alps and proceeding south to the middle of Richardson Glacier; thence south-westerly along the middle of said glacier and the Hopkins River to a point due east of a point 64.36 metres due north of Trig Station W, Block XVI, Hopkins S.D.; thence due east along a right line from the said point in the middle of the Hopkins River to a point approximately 1800 metres distant; thence due south to a point due east of said Trig Station W and due west through said Trig Station W to the middle of the Hopkins River; thence south-easterly along the middle of said river to Lake Ohau; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern shore of Lake Ohau and Lake Benmore to a point in line with a right line between the northernmost corner of part Run 67 (Te Akatarawa), Block V, Hewlings S.D. and the summit of the Hakataramea Pass, Block XI, MacKenzie S.D.; thence north-easterly to and along that right line for a distance of approximately 17200 metres to a point in Block XVI, Gladstone S.D.; thence south-easterly at right angles, to a point 1609 metres distant from the aforenentioned right line; thence north-easterly at right angles, to a point 1609 metres distant and north-westerly at right angles, passing through Trig Station T, Block XVI, Gladstone S.D., to a point on the first mentioned right line; thence north-easterly along that right line to the summit of Hakataramea Pass; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Run 252 (The Grampians); the middle of the Dalgety Stream and the Hakataramea River to a point due west of the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 22750; thence easterly along a right line to the said north-western corner of Lot 1 and due east along another right line to the summit of the Hunters Hills; thence generally south-easterly along the summit of said hills to Trig Station F, Block II, Nimrod S.D.; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig Station N (Mount Nimrod), Block XI aforesaid; thence generally south-westerly along a line to the source of the North Branch of the Waihao River; thence southerly along the middle of said river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 27281; thence westerly to and along that boundary, across a public road, to and westerly and southerly along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 27281, southerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 27281 and the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 27406, westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Block VI, Waihao S.D. and southerly along the western boundaries of Blocks X and XIV, Waihao S.D. to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 1584; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the westernmost corner of said Lot 8; thence north-westerly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Run 321; thence generally south-westerly, south-easterly and easterly along the north-western, south-western and southern boundaries of Run 321, south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 3451 to the north-western boundary of Section 11, Block I, Elephant Hill S.D.; thence north-easterly, south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of said Section 1, south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, Elephant Hill S.D. and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 40498 and that boundary produced to the middle of the Waitaki River; thence generally south-easterly along the middle of the said river to the sea coast; thence generally south-westerly to and along the mean high-water mark of the South Pacific Ocean to the northernmost corner of Block III, Moeraki S.D.; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of Block IX, Moeraki S.D. to a point in line with the south-western side of a closed road that intersects D.P. 21; thence north-westerly to and along the south-western side of said closed road to the southeastern corner of Section 919R; thence generally north-westerly along the lastmentioned boundary produced to the said side of Horse Range Road; thence northerly along the western side of that road to its junction with a road which passes through Section 46, Block XI, Moeraki S.D.; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of that road and south-westerly along the south-eastern side of a road that passes through Section 31, Block XI aforesaid to the north-eastern corner of Block VI, Moeraki S.D.; thence westerly along the northern boundary of said Block VI to and northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of Block XII, Moeraki S.D. to and northerly along the western boundary of Section 3, Block XIV aforesaid and that boundary produced to the south-western boundary of Section 11, Block XIV aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of said Section 11 and Sections 10 and 6, Block XIV aforesaid and northerly and north-easterly along the western and north-western boundaries of said Section 6 to a point in line with the north-eastern side of Razorback Track; thence north-westerly to and along the north-eastern side of that track to the south-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 11132, Block XV, Moeraki S.D.; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of said Lot 1 to the easternmost corner of Block III, Waikemoa S.D.; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Blocks III, V and VIII, Waikemoa S.D. to the south-eastern boundary of part Run 699; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of said part Run 699 for a distance of 800 metres and north-westerly along the summit of the Horse Range to the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block IX, Waihemo S.D.; thence generally north-westerly along the western boundary of part Run 699, the south-western boundaries of Runs 572 and 571 and the western boundary of the Kakanui Survey District to Trig Station A (Kakanui Peak); thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundary of part Run 681 and that boundary produced to the middle of a public road that forms the north-eastern boundaries of Runs 266D and 736; thence north-westerly along the middle of said road to Trig Station I (Mount Nobbler); thence generally northerly to and along the eastern boundaries of Runs 736 and part Run 576 to Trig Station Y, Block IX, Kyeburn S.D.; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along a watershed running through part Run 576 to the northern boundary of part Run 576; thence generally south-westerly along the north-western boundary of part Run 576 to Mount Kyeburn; thence generally northerly and westerly along a watershed running across the south-western corner of part Run 574 to the south-eastern boundary of Run 573; thence generally westerly along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Run 573 to Trig Station I (Mount Ida) thence north-westerly along the summit of the Hawkdun Range to the southern boundary of the Gala Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of the Gala and Hawkdun Survey Districts to Trig Station A (Mount St Bathans); thence generally northerly along the western boundaries of Runs 201F, 201E, 201G and 201B to the westernmost corner of said Run 201B; thence south-westerly along a leading ridge passing through Old Man Peak to the Lindis Pass; thence generally northerly along the summit of a range passing through Dromedary Hill, Trig Station H2, Pavillion Peak, Mount Maude and Mount Pisa in Longslip S.D.; thence generally north-westerly through Trig Stations A (Mount Gladish), D and E all in Stafford S.D. and Mount Rigel, Mount Barth and Mount Huxley all in Hunter S.D. to Mount Strachan on the Main Divide; thence north-easterly along the summit of the Main Divide and the Southern Alps to Mount Hopkins the point of commencement.
