removable equipment authorised by the licence to be erected,
installed or provided and if within 12 months after being so required
the Electrical Supply Authority fails or neglects to remove the same,
then the same shall, without payment of any compensation vest in
and become the property of the Crown and it shall be lawful for
any person authorised by the Minister of Energy in that behalf,
subject to compliance with section 15A of the Electricity Act 1968
to enter upon any land or premises and take possession of and
remove the same or any part thereof.

  1. Nothing contained in the licence either expressly or by
    implication shall be deemed to authorise the Electrical Supply
    Authority to erect, construct or maintain any lines or works except
    subject to such conditions (not inconsistent with this licence) as
    may from time to time be lawfully imposed by any local authority
    within the district of which any such lines or works may be situated.

  2. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a),
    (b), (c), (d), (e), (f) and (h) of regulation 13 of the Electrical Supply
    Regulations 1984.

  3. The Electrical Supply Authority shall, 6 months prior to the
    expiry of the term of this licence provided in clause 7 herein, make
    written application to the Minister of Energy for the granting of a
    new licence.

SCHEDULE

AREA OF SUPPLY

All that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded by a line
commencing on the sea coast at Paritu, Block XIII, Paritu S.D. and
proceeding north-westerly along a right line in the direction of the
confluence of the Hangaroa and Ruakuri Rivers in Block II, Opoiti
S.D. to the north-western boundary of part Mangaopike 2D Block
in Block III, Opoiti S.D.; thence north-easterly along that boundary
to and northerly and westerly along the southern boundary of said part
Lot 1, D.P. 1381, northerly along the western boundary of said part
Lot 1 and the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road
to the middle of the Hangaroa River; thence northerly along
the middle of said river to a point in line with the south-eastern

IV, Tuahu S.D.; thence along the western boundary of said Section
19 and the southern boundary of part Tahora 2 of 2C1 Section 3
Block to Trig Station A, Block III, Tuahu S.D.; thence north-westerly
along a right line to Trig Station RIV, Block XV, Koranga S.D. and
southerly along another right line to a point on the eastern boundary
of Section 2, Block II, Tuahu S.D. which is intersected by a right
line between Trig Station 2126 (Maungapohatu), Block XII,
Ruatahuna S.D. and Trig Station Puketapu, Block VII, Tuahu S.D.;
thence north-westerly along said right line to said Trig Station 2126
and north-easterly along another right line in the direction of Trig
Station 125F (Maungatapere), Block VI, Ngatapa S.D. to the western
boundary of Koranga Survey District; thence northerly along that

thence along the western and north-western boundaries of said Block
V and the north-western boundary of Block VI, Otipi S.D. to the
middle of the Motu River; thence northerly along that boundary to
and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 7 and 6, D.P. 2479,
Lot 3, D.P. 2395 and Lot 2, D.P. 2394, the north-western and north-
eastern boundaries of Waipaoa 1E Block and the north-western
boundary of Waipaoa 1A1 Block to Trig Station Arowhana, Block
IV, Arowhana S.D.; thence north-easterly along a right line, passing
through Trig Station Kapua, Block V, Hikurangi S.D., to Trig Station
Honokawa, Block X, Raukumara East S.D. and north-easterly along
another right line to Trig Station Pakira in Mangaoparo West S.D.;
thence along the south-western boundary of Waikura No. 2 Block
and the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 9472 AK
and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the
Mangahauapapa Stream; thence northerly along the middle of the
said stream and the Raukokore River to the middle of the Waikura
River; thence northerly along the middle of the Waikura River,
Mangahimatore Stream and Whekeiro Stream to the western
boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 10599AK, Whangaparaoa Block; thence
northerly along the said western boundary to and along the western
and northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 10599AK, Whangaparaoa
Block and the northern boundary of part Whangaparaoa 3A Block
to the Whangaparaoa River; thence along a right line across said
river to and long the northern boundaries of Whangaparaoa 2G and
2H Blocks and the western boundaries of Blocks II and I, Matakaoa
North S.D. to the sea coast at Potikirua Point; thence generally
easterly and south-easterly along the sea coast to the point of
commencement.

The area of supply being more particularly shown outlined in
black on plan NZE 2144 (Sheets 1 to 13) deposited in the office of
the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.

Waitaki Electric Power Board Electricity Supply Licence 1986

I, Robert James Tizard, Minister of Energy, acting pursuant to
Section 20 of the Electricity Act 1968, hereby licence the Waitaki
Electric Power Board hereinafter called the Electrical Supply
Authority to supply electricity, and to lay, construct, put up, place
and use all electric lines and works which may from time to time
be required for the distribution and supply of electricity within the
area specified in the Schedule hereto.

This licence is issued subject to the following conditions:

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence may be cited as the Waitaki Electric Power Board
    Electricity Supply Licence 1987.

  2. The Electrical Supply Authority shall comply with the
    provisions of this licence, the Electricity Act 1968 and all enactments
    made in amendment of or substitution for that Act, any Electrical
    Codes of Practice made under that Act, the Electrical Supply
    Regulations 1984, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976 and all
    regulations made in amendment of or substitution for any of those
    regulations.

  3. Any notice to be given to the Electrical Supply Authority shall
    be sufficient if sent by registered post letter to the offices of the
    Electrical Supply Authority.

  4. Any notice to be given on the part of the Minister of Energy
    shall be sufficient if given in writing or sent by registered post letter
    addressed to the Secretary of Energy, Ministry of Energy, Wellington.

  5. Any notice to be given to the Minister of Energy shall be
    sufficient if given in writing to or sent by registered post letter
    addressed to the Secretary of Energy, Ministry of Energy, Wellington.

  6. This licence shall not be construed as granting a consent to
    generate electricity pursuant to section 25 of the Electricity Act 1968.

  7. This licence shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1987
    and shall continue in force for a period of 21 years from that date
    unless it is sooner lawfully determined in accordance with clauses
    8 or 9 hereof.

  8. The Governor-General in Council may pursuant to section 22
    of the Electricity Act 1968 cancel this licence if the Electrical Supply
    Authority is in breach of the provisions contained in clause 2 of
    these conditions.
