Declaring Easement Over Land for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes in Block X, Heretaunga Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Works and Development declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, an easement in gross (right of way) is hereby acquired for soil conservation and river control purposes (and may be surrendered at any time by notice in the Gazette) and shall vest in the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board (called the grantee) on the 26th day of March 1987, a right of way over the land described in the Schedule hereto such grant except as modified herein being in accordance with paragraph 1 of the Seventh Schedule of the Land Transfer Act 1952, on the following terms and conditions.

1. That heavy vehicles (as defined in the Transport Act 1962) may only pass over the said land between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive.

2. That vehicles passing over the said land will not exceed a speed limit of 15 km/h and to give effect to this condition the grantee shall erect a speed limit sign in the vicinity of the intersection of that area of land marked ‘A’ on the plan and State Highway 50.
