Reserves Act 1977

Change of the Classification of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Manager hereby changes the classification of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, from a recreation reserve to a local purpose reserve (site for a museum), subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Schedule

Otago Land District—Tapanui Borough

2024 square metres, more or less, being Sections 8 and 9, Block VIII, Town of Tapanui. Recreation reserve by all Gazette notice 546715. Balance certificate of title 148/117, S.O. Plan 14959.

Declaration that Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northern Regional Manager, Department of Conservation hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Manukau City Council on 26 February 1987:

"That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said City in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a Recreation Reserve within the meaning of the said Act."

Schedule

North Auckland Land District—Manukau City

1285 square metres, more or less, being Lot 92 L.T. 114072, situated in Block XI, Otahuhu Survey District. Part certificates of title 21D/515 limited as to parcels and 1640/94.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Director of Recreation, Tourism and Historic Resources, Department of Conservation hereby revokes the Reservation as a Recreation Reserve over the land described in the schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Mount Maunganui Borough Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the general funds of the Council.

South Auckland Land District—Mount Maunganui Borough

11 square metres, more or less, being Lot 1, LTS 44878, situated in Block XI, Tauranga Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette 1955, page 1736.

Trustees of Geraldine Racecourse Appointed

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the District Conservator (South Canterbury/Rangitata) hereby appoints William Giles Burdon, William Ian Ritchie and Eric George Peters to be members of the Board of Trustees, constituted under the Geraldine Racecourse Reserve Act 1981, in place of Ross Smith and Peter George South, resigned, and Beresford Kenneth Macale, deceased.
