PURSUANT to section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, the Minister of Employment hereby notifies that the New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Lower Hutt Branch, is an organisation approved for the purposes of that Act.

Specification of Countries from Which Unregistered Pesticides May be Imported for “Own Use” (Notice No. 4238)

PURSUANT to section 21 (6) of the Pesticides Act 1979, I hereby give notice declaring Australia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Federal Republic of Germany, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, to be countries from which individuals can import pesticides for “own use”.

Pursuant to the above section 21 (6), I hereby give notice that the specification in notice No. 4066, published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 28 May 1987 at page 2323 is hereby revoked.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—East Coast Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the East Coast Licensing Committee on 18 September 1987 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Roseland Tavern, Main Road, Makaraka.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 1 o’clock in the afternoon and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any Friday (except in any week where the premises are open on both Christmas Eve and Saturdays)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On any Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(e) On Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(f) On any New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 12.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(g) To any person who is for the time being a lodger, or an employee of the licensee, living on the premises, for consumption on or off the premises, at any time on any day.

(h) To any person actually partaking of a substantial meal in any room or place (other than a bar) used for dining whether generally or on that occasion, for consumption by that person as part of the meal, at any time between the hours of 9 o’clock in the morning on any day and 1 o’clock in the morning on the following day.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Thursday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and on Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 12.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(b) On any Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any Friday and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
