DANNEVIRKE DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay and Wellington Land Districts containing 2,216 square kilometres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the summit of the Ruahine Range in Hawke’s Bay Land District, being due west of the source of the said Makaretu River; thence easterly along a right line to the source of that River to a point due north of the junction of No. 2 State Highway and the old Norsewood-Takapau Road as shown on M.L. 1631 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry); thence southerly along a right line to the middle of the said No. 2 State Highway to the middle of the Manawatu River; thence south-easterly generally down the middle of that River to its confluence with the Waikopiro Stream; thence up the middle of that stream and the middle of the Mangapukapuka Stream to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 4265 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry); thence north-easterly along a right line to the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the south-western boundaries of part Lot 2 and Lot 3, D.P. 4265 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry) and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Whatatuna Stream; thence down the middle of that stream and up the middle of the Taurekaitai Stream to and along the western boundary of Section 26, Block XVI, Takapau Survey District and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Whanga Stream; thence down the middle of that stream and up the middle of the Mangapuka Stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 349 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry); thence easterly along another right line to Trig Station XII, being a point on the north-eastern boundary of Section 3, Block VIII, Mangatoro Survey District; thence south-easterly generally and south-westerly generally along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 3 to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Mangatoro Survey District on the northern side of Te Uri Road; thence southerly generally along a right line to and along the eastern boundary of Section 2 aforesaid to the north-eastern corner of Section 5, Block XV, Mangatoro Survey District; thence westerly generally along the northern boundaries of that Section and to a point due west of a point on the north-western boundary of part Section 1, Block XVI, Mangatoro Survey District (distant 342 metres from the northernmost corner of the said part Section 1); thence due east along a right line to that point on the north-western boundary of part Section 1 aforesaid; thence north-easterly along that boundary of the northernmost corner of the said part Section 1; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of part Section 1 aforesaid and Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 2910 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry), to the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned lot; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 7290 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry), Sections 8, 3 and 4, Block I, Tautane Survey District, to the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence southerly along that boundary to Birch Road East and along a right line to and along the eastern boundaries of Lot 4 of Section 1, Block I, Tautane Survey District, and Section 14, Block V, Tautane Survey District to State Highway No. 52 and along a right line to and along the eastern boundaries of Section 80 and Section 9, Block V, Tautane Survey District and Section 2, Block IX, Tautane Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of Section 7, Block IX, Tautane Survey District; thence southerly generally along that boundary and the eastern boundaries of the said Section 7 and Section 10, Block IX, Tautane Survey District to Mangone Road and along a right line to and along the eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block X and Section 4, Block XIII, Tautane Survey District and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Papuka Stream; thence southerly generally down the middle of that Stream to the north-western boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 549 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry); thence south-westerly and south-easterly along that boundary and the south-western boundary of the said part Lot 3 to Seaview Road and along a right line to and again along the south-western boundary of the said part Lot 3 to the sea-coast; thence south-westerly along the sea-coast to the middle of that river and the Pakowhai River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 16264 (Wellington Land Registry); thence generally northerly to and along that boundary, the eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 16264 (Wellington Land Registry), part Lot 1, D.P. 10913 (Wellington Land Registry), Section 24, Block IX, Owahanga Survey District and Section 22, Block V, Owahanga Survey District, to and along the northern boundaries of Sections 8 and 4, Block V, Owahanga Survey District
to the north-western corner of the said Section 4; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Sections 28 and 29, Block V, Owahanga Survey District, the north-western boundary of the said Section 29, to and along the south-western boundary of Section 7, Block VIII, Puketoi Survey District and its production to the north-western side of State Highway 52; thence north-easterly along that side to and along the south-western boundary of Section 28, Block IV, Puketoi Survey District, the southern boundaries of Sections 6, 5, 4 and 3, Block IV, Puketoi Survey District to the westernmost corner of Section 3 aforesaid; thence by a right line across Haunui Road to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 10, 9 and 23, Block III, Puketoi Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 23 and along the watershed defined by traverse lines on S.O. Plan 13160 (Wellington Land Registry) to Peg VIII shown on the said plan on the summit of the Puketoi Range; thence generally north-easterly along the summit of the Puketoi Range and the south-eastern boundary of Section 43, Block XII, Mount Cerberus Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 43; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Puketoi 6A Block, along a right line to and along the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7164 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry) to Waitahora Road and along a right line to and along the southern boundary of Section 10, Block XV, Tahoraiti Survey District and its production to the eastern boundary of Section 12, Block XV, Tahoraiti Survey District; thence northerly generally along that boundary and a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 11, Block XV, Tahoraiti Survey District; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundaries of Sections 11, 8 and 9, Block XV, Tahoraiti Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence north-westerly along that boundary and its production to the south-western side of Otope Road; thence westerly generally along that roadside, the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6570 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry), the south-eastern and southern boundaries of part Lot 3, D.P. 3777 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry), the southern boundaries of Lot 3 and part Lot 1, D.P. 6570 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry) and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Manawatu River to and up the middle of the Oruakeretaki and Mangapukakakahau Streams to the north-eastern boundary of Section 13, Block I, Woodville Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary to Grainger Road and along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 54 and 51, Block I, Woodville Survey District, Lot 1, D.P. 19815 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry) and part Section 50, Block I, Woodville Survey District, to the middle of the Oruakeretaki Stream; thence up the middle of that stream and the middle of its north branch to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 9, Block XII, Norsewood Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Norsewood Survey District and its production to the middle of the Mangapukakahu Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 1 aforesaid; thence westerly generally to and along that boundary to the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence north-easterly generally along the summit of that Range to the point of commencement.

Woodville District Boundary Definition Notice 1987

PURSUANT to section 48 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Secretary for Local Government gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Woodville District Boundary Definition Notice 1987.

  2. The boundary of Woodville District is hereby defined as set out in the Schedule attached hereto, that boundary having been created by the Woodville Borough-Woodville County Union Order 1987, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 March 1987, No. 32, page 1121, and which came into force on 5 May 1987.
