Classification of Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northern Regional Manager of the Department of Conservation hereby declares the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, to be a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act and includes it as part of the Oke Bay Scenic Reserve.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northern Regional Manager, Department of Conservation hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Dargaville Borough Council on the 11th day of September 1986.

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Dargaville Borough Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said borough in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby, declared to be a local purpose plantation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

Declaring Land to be Acquired for Railway Purposes at Haumoana

PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation hereby declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen for railway purposes.

Christchurch Secondary Schools’ Notice 1987

PURSUANT to section 557 (10) of the Education Act 1964 and Regulation 6 of the Education (Forms – 7) Schools Regulations 1976 the Minister of Education

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice shall be cited as the Christchurch Secondary Schools’ Notice 1987.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The following schools are hereby placed under the control of the Christchurch Secondary Schools’ Council:

    • Catholic Cathedral College,
    • Methven High School,
    • St Bede’s College,
    • St Thomas of Canterbury College.

Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977—Review of Lottery Prize Limits

The Minister of Internal Affairs may, in accordance with section 35 of the above Act, grant licences to conduct lotteries with prizes exceeding $500 in aggregate and, inter alia, grant a licence either unconditionally or subject to such conditions as he may specify. This notice outlines the maximum lottery prize limits for:

(a) Standard Lotteries:

  • local $18,700
  • regional $28,600
  • national $38,500

(b) Snowball Lotteries:

  • local $42,900
  • regional $52,800
  • national $62,700

(minor draws are not to exceed $2,200 each.)
