The Road Classification (Whakatane District) Notice No. 1, 1986

Pursuant to regulation 3(8) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Whakatane District) Notice No. 1, 1986.

2. The Whakatane District Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule is approved.

3. The Road Classification (Whakatane District) Notice No. 1, 1982, dated the 1st day of April 1982* issued pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, which relates to the roads described in the Schedule, is revoked.

Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road State Highway No. 1

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 23 April 1986 and pursuant to section 153 of the Public Works Act 1981, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1, from the northern boundary of Section 2 of 8. D.P. 3555 near Te Huka Road to the western boundary of part Section 6, Block XLVII, Clutha Survey District on the line of an unformed road, as more particularly shown on Sheet 1 of plan 72/23/90 and accompanying schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Dunedin and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road State Highway No. 2

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 23 April 1986 and pursuant to section 153 of the Public Works Act 1981, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 2, Ormond to Makarika section for its full width commencing at the northern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 6369, and extending 800 metres southwards across the frontages of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of D.P. 6369 (certificate of title 4B/924, 925 and 926), as more particularly shown on Sheet 1 of plan 31/12/3 and accompanying schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Gisborne and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.
