Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Auckland Licensing Committee

I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee on 4 March 1986 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Licensed Premises known as the Abby’s Hotel.

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 and an application made in that behalf by Peter Pharo and Wayne Porter Field, being the holders of the Hotelkeepers Licence in force in respect of the premises situated at 37 Wellesley Street, Auckland and known as Abby’s Hotel, the Auckland Licensing Committee hereby revokes its order made on the 18th day of August 1978 and which was promulgated in the New Zealand Gazette of 7 September, 1978, No 77 at page 2477 and hereby further orders that the hours of opening and closing of the said premises shall be fixed as detailed hereunder:

That on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

That on any New Year’s Eve the said Hotel shall close at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

That on any Friday, Saturday and Christmas Eve the said Hotel shall close at 11 p.m. (being 1 hour after the usual hour of closing).

That on the Thursday preceding the Easter weekend the said Hotel shall close at 11 p.m. (being 1 hour after the usual hour of closing).

I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee on 4 March 1986 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Licensed Premises known as the Valley Inn Tavern.

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 and an application made in that behalf by Wilson Neil Limited being the holders of the Tavernkeepers Licence in force in respect of the premises situated at Corner Target and Ellice Road, Glenfield and known as Valley Inn Tavern, the Auckland Licensing Committee hereby revokes its order made on the 6th day of May 1977 and which was promulgated in the New Zealand Gazette of 26 May 1977, No. 59 at page 1508 and hereby further orders that the hours of opening and closing of the said premises shall be fixed as detailed hereunder:

That on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

On every Friday and Saturday the hour of opening of the Valley Inn Tavern to be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 11 o’clock in the evening.

On every Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening of the Valley Inn Tavern to be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.

On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening of the Valley Inn Tavern to be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee on 26 November 1985 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Chartered Club known as the Northland Club Incorporated.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to its members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On every Thursday and Saturday—Not being a day when chartered premises are to be closed for the sale of liquor to members, the closing hour for the purpose of section 168 (1) (b) of the Act shall be 11 p.m. in the evening.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Stanley James Callahan, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee on 26 November 1985 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Licensed Premises known as the Whangarei Hotel Limited.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Friday, Saturday and Christmas Eve (Friday and Saturday not being New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning of New Years Day.

Declaration Extending State of Regional Civil Defence Emergency

PURSUANT to section 55 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Archibald Campbell Houstoun hereby extend the state of Regional Civil Defence Emergency declared in respect of part of the Aorangi Region (at 7 p.m.) on 16 March 1986 until 11.30 p.m. on Monday, 24 March 1986.

Declared by: A. C. Houstoun.

Designation: Chairman of the Aorangi United Council.

Time and Date of Declaration: 11 a.m. 22 March 1986.

Declaration Termination State of Regional Civil Defence Emergency

PURSUANT to section 56 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Archibald Campbell Houstoun, hereby terminate the State of Regional Civil Defence Emergency declared at 12.42 p.m. on 13 March 1986, in respect of Aorangi Region.

The termination of the State of Regional Civil Defence Emergency shall take effect from the time and date of the making of this declaration.

Declaration of a State of Regional Civil Defence Emergency

PURSUANT to section 51 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Archibald Campbell Houstoun Declare a State of Regional Civil Defence Emergency to be in force in Aorangi Region in respect of the following areas only:

The area of the Territorial Authority of the County of Strathallan.

The area of the Territorial Authorities of the County of Waimate and the Borough of Waimate (forming the Waimate combined District Civil Defence Organisation.)
