Commencing at the intersection of the mean high water mark and the south boundary of the Hawkes Bay County also being the existing southern boundary of the Hawkes Bay Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, and proceeding westerly along that electoral boundary to and northerly along the proposed boundary of the Waikaremoana Electoral District, to and easterly along the existing boundary of the Hawkes Bay Electoral District to its intersection with Riverbend Road, thence easterly along the southern boundary of the Napier City to and easterly along the existing Hawkes Bay Electoral District to the point of commencement but excluding the proposed Hastings Electoral District.

The existing Pahiatua Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424.

MANAWATU

Population: 32 978
Classification: Group B
Commencing at the intersection of the Manawatu Gorge and the proposed boundary of the Rangitikei Electoral District and proceeding generally northwesterly and southwesterly along that boundary and the west boundary of the existing Horowhenua Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, to its intersection with the Tokomaru River, thence generally easterly up that River and generally easterly along the southern boundary of the Kairanga County to the eastern boundary of the existing Manawatu Electoral District, thence generally northerly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

PALMERSTON NORTH

The existing Palmerston North Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424 and including that portion bounded by Albert Street, Te Awe Awe Street, Victoria Avenue and College Street East.

HOROWHENUA

Commencing at the intersection of the Waikanae River and State Highway 1 and proceeding northerly along that Highway to and westerly along the northern boundary of the Waikanae District Community to the mean high water mark, thence northerly along the boundary of the proposed Rangitikei Electoral District, to and southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of the proposed Manawatu Electoral District to the eastern boundary of the existing Horowhenua Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, thence generally southerly and westerly along that boundary and its southern boundary to the point of commencement.

KAPITI

Commencing at the intersection of the Porirua Harbour and the west boundary of the Whitby Ward of the Porirua City and proceeding generally southerly along that boundary and the eastern boundary of the Porirua City for approximately 500 meters, thence southerly to and westerly along Warspite Avenue, Whitford Brown Avenue, Toporoa View and its extension to the southern boundary of the existing Kapiti Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424 thence westerly and northerly along that boundary crossing the intervening railway bridge over the Porirua Harbour at Paremata to and generally easterly along the southern boundary of the proposed Horowhenua Electoral District to and generally southerly along the boundary of the existing Heretaunga Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, to its intersection with the Paremata Haywards Road thence generally westerly along that road and Paremata Road to the point of commencement including Kapiti and Mana Islands.

PORIRUA

Population: 32 831
Classification: Group A
Commencing at the intersection of Takapu Road and the Johnsonville Porirua Motorway and proceeding northerly along that Motorway to and along Bartlett Place, Tawa Street southerly along Duncan Street, to and generally westerly along Tawa Street Main Road, Redwood Avenue, Pembroke Street, St Johns Terrace, Gonville Street, Oriel Avenue, Balliol Drive and its extension to the western boundary of the existing Porirua Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, thence generally northerly, southerly and easterly along that boundary to its intersection with Niagara Street, thence easterly along that street and its extension to the Porirua City Boundary, thence southerly along that boundary to and generally southerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the existing Porirua Electoral District to the point of commencement.

HERETAUNGA

Population: 32 405
Classification: Group A
The existing Heretaunga Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424 and including that portion of Upper Hutt City bounded by Whitmans Road, Kiln Street and the Upper Hutt City boundary.

EASTERN HUTT

Population: 33 462
Classification: Group A
Commencing at the intersection of the Hutt River and Silverstream Bridge being a point on the boundary of the existing Eastern Hutt Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, and proceeding easterly along that boundary to its intersection with the Upper Hutt City Boundary at Kiln Street, thence to that point and generally northerly along Waddington Drive, Naenae Road and Daysh Street to its intersection with the Wellington/Wairarapa Railway, thence southerly along that Railway to and generally westerly along Epuni Street, Kings Crescent, Queens Drive and its extension to the middle of the Hutt River, thence generally north easterly along that River to the point of commencement.

WESTERN HUTT

Population: 33 159
Classification: Group D
Commencing at the intersection of the Silverstream Bridge and the Hutt River and proceeding generally southerly along that River to a point in line with Queens Drive, thence generally easterly to and along that Drive, Kings Crescent and Epuni Street to its intersection with the south eastern boundary of the existing Western Hutt Electoral District as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, thence southwesterly along that boundary being the Wellington Wairarapa Railway to and westerly along that Railway line to and southerly along the Hutt River to its mouth thence westerly along the mean high water mark to the western boundary of the existing Western Hutt Electoral District at Horokiwi Road, thence generally northerly along that boundary to and general northerly along the eastern boundary of the proposed Porirua Electoral District to and easterly along the southern boundary of the proposed Kapiti Electoral District and south easterly along the south western boundary of the proposed Heretaunga Electoral District to the point of commencement.

PENCARROW

Population: 33 127
Classification: Group A
The existing Pencarrow Electoral District, as defined by NZ Gazette 1983 p 1424, and including that portion on the west boundary bounded by the Hutt River, the Wellington/Wairarapa Railway, the Gracefield Branch Railway across Hutt Park Golf Course, Randwick Road and Port Road, and that portion on the north boundary bounded by the Wellington/Wairarapa Railway, Daysh Road, Naenae Road, Waddington Drive, a line approximately south east from the corner of Merton Road and Waddington Drive, Tilbury Street, Durham Crescent and Hampton Court.

OHAIRU

Population: 33 374

Commencing at the mean high water mark in Wellington Harbour at Ngauranga Railway Station being a point on the southern boundary of the Northern Ward of Wellington City and proceeding generally north westerly along that boundary to its intersection with
