The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund)
Notice 1986

PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Minister of Finance hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in the Common Fund) Notice 1986.

(2) This notice shall take effect as from and including the 1st day of October 1986.

  1. Interest Rates—(1) The rate of interest that may be paid by the Public Trustee on moneys invested by the Public Trustee as agent of any principal in the Common Fund of the Public Trust Office pursuant to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 shall in each case be that which is agreed upon between the Public Trustee and the principal but not exceeding 15.5 percent per annum where the agency is determinable at call after an initial term of 30 days.

  2. The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in the Common Fund) Notice 1977 (No. 2) Gazette, is hereby revoked.

  3. Transitional provision—Notwithstanding the revocation of the Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 1977, the rates of interest payable, and the conditions applying in respect of money deposited in investment accounts before the commencement of this notice shall be the same as those applicable to that money before the commencement of this notice until the expiry of the term of deposit.

Notice of Receipt of an Application for the Renewal of an International Air Services Licence

PURSUANT to section 15 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Air New Zealand Limited has applied for the renewal of its International Air Service Licence to operate air services for the carriage of passengers, cargo and mail between New Zealand and overseas destinations for a 2-year period from 23 December 1986.

Further details of this application may be obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, Private Bag, Wellington.

Any person or organisation wishing to make representations relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me on or before 23 October 1986.

The Traffic (Cook County) Notice No. 1, 1986

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carnc Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Cook County) Notice No. 1, 1986.

The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The notice under the Transport Act 1962 and Traffic Regulations 1956, dated the 10th day of May 1966†, which relates to roads situated within Cook County at Manutuke is revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Cook County at Manutuke:

Waingake - Mangapoike Road: from Taurau Valley Road to the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno - Wellington via Gisborne).

Whakato Road: from Waingake - Mangapoike (via Mangapoike Road) (also known as Waingake Road) to the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno - Wellington via Gisborne).

Notice of Approval of Sirens in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976

NOTICE

PURSUANT to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, sirens of the make and model specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved for the purposes of regulation 69 (3) of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

SIRENS incorporated in Federal Jetsonic light bars bearing the model designation JADHS and including 4 siren tones.

This approval is given for siren tone evaluation by the New Zealand Police and shall expire on 31 December 1987.

Pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by instrument of delegation dated the 28th day of March 1985.

Deer Farming Notice No. 4, 1986

PURSUANT to section 12A of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977, the Director-General of Forests hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Deer Farming Notice No. 4, 1986.

  2. Subject to the provisions of the Wild Animal Control Act 1977 farming of the species (including crosses and hybrids of such species) of deer specified in the First Schedule hereto is permitted only in those parts of the areas named therein that are not specified in the Second Schedule.

  3. Deer Farming Notice No. 3, 1980, published in the New Zealand Gazette, dated 23 April 1980, page 1220, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Species Area
Fallow deer North Island, South Island, and Kaikoura Island.
Red deer, wapiti and North Island, South Island, D’Urville
Pere David’s deer Island and Stewart Island.
Rusa deer North Island.
Sambar deer North Island: south of the northern
boundary of Franklin County.
Sika deer Rotorua District and Counties of Taupo
and Hawke’s Bay and that part of
Rangitikei County east of State Highway
No. 1 and north of State Highway
No. 54.
White tailed deer South Island and Stewart Island.
Black tailed deer North Island.
Any other deer species Such land area as may be specified in a
notification to hold for deer farming
purposes.

SECOND SCHEDULE

(a) (i) All that area in the Mangonui, Whangaroa, Hokianga, Bay of Islands, Hobson, and Whangarei Counties lying to the south, west, and north of a line commencing at the mouth of the Wairoa Stream near Ahipa and proceeding generally easterly, southerly, and westerly along the Wairoa Stream to the Kaitaia Motukaraka Road, along the Kaitaia Motukaraka Road to No. 1 State Highway, along No. 1 State Highway to the Peria Valley Road, along the Peria Valley Road and the Pamapuria Taipa Road to the Mangonui Oruru Road, along the Mangonui Oruru Road to No. 10 State Highway, along No. 10 State Highway to the Waimate Springbank Road, along the Waimate Springbank Road and along Wiroa Road, along the
