The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5445/A Draft Amendment A to BS 5759:1979 Webbing load restraint assemblies for use in surface transport. Gratis.

This draft amendment proposes the declaration of BS 5759:1979 as a New Zealand Standard with amendments to bring the Standard into line with New Zealand regulations and requirements.

The Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1985

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Franklin County) Notice No. 1, 1985.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.


FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Franklin County at Otaua:

Factory Road: from Otaua Road to Maioro Road. Hoods Landing Road: from Maioro Road to Otaua Road, Maioro Road; from a point 200 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from Hoods Landing Road to a point 250 metres measured easterly, generally, along Maioro Road from Factory Road.


SECOND SCHEDULE

Situated within Franklin County adjacent to Waiuku Borough:

Otaua Road: from the southern boundary of Waiuku Borough to Cemetery Road.

Approval of Motorcycle Safety Helmets in Terms of The Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, motorcycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved for the purposes of regulation 31 of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

Safety helmets manufactured by Kiwi SA, Switzerland bearing the model designation K10 and bearing the certification mark of the British Standards Institution BS 2495.

Pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by an instrument of delegation dated the 28th day of March 1985.

The Road Classification (Eketahuna County) Notice No. 1, 1985

Pursuant to regulation 3 (8) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations, 1974, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Eketahuna County) Notice No. 1, 1985.

  2. The Eketahuna County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule is approved.

  3. The Road Classification (Eketahuna County) Notice No. 1, 1982, dated the 12th day of May 1982, issued pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, which relates to the roads described in the Schedule, is revoked.
