Notice of Receipt of Application for an International Air Service Licence

PURSUANT to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Canadian Pacific Airlines Limited of Vancouver, Canada, has applied for an International Air Service Licence to operate a scheduled air service for the carriage of passengers, cargo and mail between Canada and Auckland, New Zealand. Further details of the proposal may be obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, Private Bag, Wellington.

Any person or organisation wishing to make representations relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me on or before 27 September 1985.

Revocation of a Notice Relating to the Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage a Reserve and Issue of a Fresh Notice

PURSUANT to section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977 and by reason of an error made in the notice hereinafter described, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the notice appointing the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the reserve dated 20 June 1985, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 4 July 1985, No. 128, page 2902 and hereby issues the following notice in its place:

Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage a Reserve and Declaration that the Said Reserve shall be Subject to the Provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands, hereby appoints the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a government purpose (wildlife management) reserve, and further, declares that the said reserve shall be subject to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953.

Reservation of Land, Classification of Reserve and Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage a Reserve and Declaration That the Said Reserve Shall be Subject to the Provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953

PURSUANT to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve, and further pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, declares the said land to be classified for Government purpose (wildlife refuge) reserve purposes, subject to the provisions of the last-mentioned Act, and further pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, appoints the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the said reserve, as a Government purpose (wildlife refuge) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands, hereby revokes the reservation as a Government purpose (wildlife management) reserve over the land, described in the Schedule hereto.

Revokes Declaration of Old State Highway No. 8 and Declaring New State Highway No. 8

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, gives notice that the State highway described in the First Schedule below is revoked, and the new route described in the Second Schedule below is declared to be a State Highway, within the meaning and for the purpose of the National Roads Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE

That section of No. 8 State Highway within the Borough of Cromwell well from the intersection of Gair Avenue and Melmore Terrace to the Clutha River Bridge at its eastern boundary, and thence to Gibraltar Rock in the Cromwell Gorge.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Cromwell Hospital corner of State Highway No. 6 to Gibraltar Rock via Deadmans Point Bridge.

Consent to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in the Schedule.
