Notice Constituting Defence Area as Balmoral Defence Rural Fire
District

1. The following notice may be cited as the Balmoral Defence
   Rural Fire District Notice.

2. Pursuant to section 4 (2) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act
   1977, notice is hereby given by the Minister of Forests as follows:
   (1) The area sufficiently described in the Schedule to this notice,
   being a Defence Area within the meaning of the Defence
   Act 1971, and not included in a fire district within the
   meaning of the Fire Service Act 1975, is at the request of
   the Minister of Defence hereby constituted and declared
   to be a rural fire district, which shall be known as the
   Balmoral Defence Rural Fire District.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 14th day of
August 1985.

3. It is hereby notified that under the said section 4 (2) the Minister
   of Defence is ex officio the Fire Authority for the Balmoral Defence
   Rural Fire District constituted by the foregoing notice.

SCHEDULE

THE area comprising the Balmoral Army Training Area and
Balmoral Military Camp (including all buildings and their environs,
all parade grounds, and all field exercise grounds), being for
convenience of further identification shown edged in blue on plan

State Forest Land Set Apart as a Recreation Area—For Addition
to Mount Thomas Recreation Area—Canterbury Conservancy

PURSUANT to section 63A of the Forests Act 1949 (as substituted
by section 19 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), the Minister
of Forests hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto
as a recreation area for the purpose of public recreation, to be added
to Mount Thomas Recreation Area.

12.4213 hectares, more or less, being Reserve 4570, situated in Block

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical Services for the
Residents of Te Araroa and Surrounding Districts

PURSUANT to section 117 of the Social Security Act 1964, the
Minister of Health has made special arrangements whereby all
persons for the time being resident in the district described in the
Schedule hereto are entitled to receive, free of charge, at the hands
of any registered medical practitioner who is employed or engaged
by the Waiapu Hospital Board or who is providing relief for such
persons pursuant to a contract made with the said Board under
section 78 of the Hospitals Act 1957, general medical services and
maternity services as defined in section 88 (1) of the Social Security
Act 1964.

These special arrangements are in addition to the benefits provided
by Part II of the Social Security Act 1964.

Provided that no person may receive from the Department of
Health, under that Act, any payment in respect of any service or
requirement given or supplied pursuant to the arrangements.

The notice of the special arrangements for the provision of medical
services for the residents of Te Araroa and surrounding district
appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 29 October 1970, No. 67,
page 1953 is hereby revoked.

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, Opotiki and Waiapu
Counties, bounded by a line commencing at Potikirua Point being
a point on the sea coast and being the north-westernmost corner
of Wharekahika A1, situated in Block 1, Matakaoa North Survey
District and proceeding generally easterly and south-easterly along
the sea coast crossing the mouths of all harbours and inlets to the
southernmost corner of Section 2, Block XVI, East Cape Survey
District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of that Section
and its production across the Te Araroa - East Cape Road to and
along the southern boundary of part Marangairoa C11 to the north-
eastern corner of part Marangairoa 1C5; thence generally south-
westedly along the generally south-eastern boundary of part
Marangairoa 1C2 to the southern boundary of part Tokararangi; thence generally
westerly along the generally southern boundary of part Tokararangi
and its production across the Awakari River to and generally south-
westedly along the generally south-eastern and southern boundaries
of Lot 9, D.P. 2209 and Lot 10, D.P. 2211 to the easternmost corner
of part Marangairoa 2E2B2; thence south-westerly along the south-
eastern boundaries of parts Marangairoa 2E2B2 and 2E1 and the
production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the
Takiripihia Stream, down the middle of that stream to its confluence
with the Mangamauku Stream, and generally southerly down the
middle of the Mangamauku Stream to its confluence with the
