Declaring Railway Land at Gisborne Now Set Apart for State Housing Purposes
PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart, subject to the Housing Act 1955, for State housing purposes.

Notice to Promulgate a New Home Economics Syllabus for Primary Schools
PURSUANT to section 75 of the Education Act 1964 as amended by section 5 of the Education Amendment Act (No. 2) 1982, the Minister of Education hereby prescribes the syllabus for Home Economics Forms 1 and 2 classes of primary schools as set out in the publication described below, printed for the Department of Education by the Government Printer, Wellington.
The syllabus known as the Homecraft Standard 4, Form 1, Form 2 (1960) and Sewing, Standard 4, Form 1, Form 2 (1953) referred to in clause 4 of the syllabus notice made under the Education Act 1964 and published in the Gazette on 19 May 1983* is hereby revoked and replaced as follows:
HOME ECONOMICS SYLLABUS FORMS 1 TO 4 (1985)
This syllabus gives high priority to the knowledge, abilities and attitudes which will help young people to develop as individuals and to become more effective members of families. Practical experience is the basis of programmes, which focus on the everyday tasks and activities of home and family life. Important issues included, are the sharing of responsibilities of family living, changes in the structure and functions of families in New Zealand, nutritional health, clothing and sheltering the family, managing resources, caring for family members and establishing a safe and harmonious environment in the home.
Copies of the Home Economics Syllabus Forms 1 to 4 (1985) will be issued to all schools during term 2, 1985. Additional copies may be obtained from the Government Printing Office bookshops.

Declaration of Easement Agreement Under the Forests Act 1949
PURSUANT to section 15 (2A) of the Forests Act 1949, the Minister of Forests being satisfied as to the sufficiency of such agreement hereby declares:
-
That an agreement in favour of Graham James Hewett, farmer and Marion Janet Hewett, his wife, both of Cheviot, granting a right of way over the State forest land described in the Schedule hereto, has been entered into between the said Graham James Hewett and Marion Janet Hewett as grantees and the Minister of Forests acting for and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen as grantor.

That such agreement may be inspected at the office of the Conservator of Forests at Christchurch, which agreement and the terms and conditions thereof are designated grant of easement in respect of right of way, Lake Sumner State Forest Park.

That a plan defining thereon the said easement is attached to such agreement and may be inspected at the above office.

That the date upon which such agreement became effective being the date of execution of the agreement is the 1st day of April 1985.
SCHEDULE
All that part of Lake Sumner State Forest Park, Canterbury Conservancy, situated in Block I, Tekoa Survey District and Block VIII, Skiddaw Survey District, Canterbury Land District; shown marked red on the said plan.

The Weights and Measures (Dual Denominations) Notice (No. 2) 1985
Revoked 1987
PURSUANT to section 4A of the Weights and Measures Amendment Act 1976 (as inserted by section 2 of the Weights and Measures Amendment Act 1980), the Minister of Labour, being satisfied—
(a) That the goods specified in the Schedule to this notice are part of a line of goods intended for sale by retail both—
(i) In New Zealand; and
(ii) In a country in which the denomination of an Imperial weight or measure is required by law to be marked on the package in which the goods are enclosed; and
(b) That the quantity of that line of goods to be sold by retail in New Zealand is too small to justify the cost of marking the packages of the goods that are to be sold in New Zealand differently from the packages of the goods that are to be sold by retail in a country outside New Zealand,—
hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Dual Denominations) Notice (No. 2) 1985.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- Use of Imperial weight authorised—(1) In the case of the goods specified in the Schedule to this notice, the net Imperial weight of the denomination specified in that Schedule in relation to those goods is hereby authorised to be used (in addition to the equivalent metric weight) on the packages of any such goods displayed or exposed for sale by retail.
