EXPLANATORY NOTE

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice authorises the use of an Imperial weight (in addition to the equivalent metric weight) on the packages of certain goods sold by retail in New Zealand. It is a condition of the authority conferred by the notice that the denomination of the Imperial weight be not given greater prominence than the denomination of the metric weight.

The notice is the same as the Weights and Measures (Dual Denominations) Notice 1985 (S.R. 1985/75). That notice, which was expressed to come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette, was notified in the Gazette (Gazette, 1985, page 1672) but was not published.

Transport Licensing Authority Sitting

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the No. 4 Transport District Licensing Authority (J. M. Foster), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting in the Conference Room, Ministry of Transport, Old Post Office Building, corner Arawa and Fenton Streets, Rotorua at the time and date stated to hear evidence for or against granting them.

Tuesday, 9 July 1985 at 2 p.m.

T4/621: Ranui and Ivy Waitangi Kapua, Taxicab Service Licence 8707; John Hoani Wall, Taxicab Service Licence 3064; Charles Wall, Taxicab Service Licence 12517. Amend the above licences by adding the following:

Special Conditions: Amendment for hours for Taupo Taxi Society February to November 6 a.m.–1 a.m. Sunday to Wednesday, 6 a.m.–2 a.m. Thursday to Saturday, continuation of 24 hour service in months of December and January.

T4/631: Francis Dundon Pretty: Lease Taxicab Service Licence No. 8568 to Raymond Albert King and Suzanne King for 1 year.
