The Hawera High School Board of Governors Notice 1984

Pursuant to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice shall be cited as the Hawera High School Board of Governors Notice 1984.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The constitution of the Hawera High School Board of Governors is hereby varied so that the Board shall, after the commencement of this notice, be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Taranaki Education Board;
    (b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
    (c) Six members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
    (d) One member elected by the members of the school committees of the State primary and private primary schools specified in the Schedule to this notice;
    (e) One member appointed by the Hawera District Council;
    (f) One member elected by the Hawera District Council, the Eltham Borough Council, the Eltham County Council, the Waimate West County Council, and the Manaia Town Council.

  3. The term of office of all existing members of the Hawera High School Board of Governors shall cease on the 31st day of July 1984 and the term of the new Board, appointed and elected pursuant to clause 2 of this notice, shall commence on the 1st day of August 1984.

  4. The list of schools to which paragraph (d) of clause 2 of this notice applies, and to which the Schedule of this notice refers, may from time to time be amended in the Gazette.

  5. The Hawera High School Board of Governors Notice 1974 is hereby revoked.*

The State and private primary schools referred to in paragraph (d) of clause 2 of this notice shall be the following:
