Cancellation of the Vesting in the Ellesmere County Council and Revocation of the Reservation over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Ellesmere County Council and revokes the reservation over the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserve Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for public buildings for the general government over the land, described in the Schedule hereto.

Change of the Classification of a Reserve and Declaration that the Reserve be Part of the Opera Point Historic Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby changes the classification of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, from a local purposes (esplanade) reserve, to a historic reserve and further, declares the said reserve to form part of the Opera Point Historic Reserve.

Declaration that Private Land Shall be Protected Private Land

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby declares that the private land, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be protected private land for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

The Voluntary Welfare Agency Training Board Notice 1984

PURSUANT to section 34 of the Vocational Training Council Act 1982, the Minister of Labour hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Voluntary Welfare Agency Training Board Notice 1984.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 14th day after its notification in the Gazette.

  2. Voluntary Welfare Agency Training Board—There shall be an industry training board which shall be known as the Voluntary Welfare Agency Training Board and shall comprise the following members:
    (a) Four members appointed by the New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations (Inc.) The chairman is to be elected from one of those persons.
    (b) One member appointed by the Council of Christian Social Services.
    (c) One member appointed by the Social Work Training Council.
    (d) One member appointed by the Disabled Persons Assembly.
    (e) One member appointed to represent the New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Inc.), Staff Association.
    (f) One member appointed to represent the Director-General of Education.
    (g) One member appointed to represent the Vocational Training Council.

  3. Term of Office of Members of Board—(1) Subject to the provisions of this clause the members of the Board shall hold office for a period of 3 years, but may from time to time be reappointed.
    (2) If any member dies or resigns his office by letter addressed to the Board or the chairman or the secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from 3 consecutive meetings of the Board, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as possible thereafter by the appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.
    (3) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Board shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.
    (4) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

  4. Deputy Members of Board—(1) A deputy member may be an appointed member, to be the deputy of that member and act in the event of the absence of that member from any meeting of the Board.
    (2) While any person is acting pursuant to sub-clause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.
