Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. except that during the period 1 June 1984 to 31 March 1985 inclusive, Canada goose may be shot 24 hours per day during the specified open season.

Special Conditions
-
Excepting that temporarily moored floating stands may be used, no person shall use or cause to be used for the hunting or killing of game on Lake Waikare any fixed stand, pontoon, hide, maimai, or loo, except within 180 metres of the outer margin of the said lake, or the shore-line of that island known as Motu Nuia or Grape Island.

No person shall use or cause to be used for the hunting or killing of game on Lake Ngaroto any fixed stand, pontoon, hide, maimai, or loo, on any open water of the said lake.
-
No person shall use or cause to be used for the hunting or killing of game on Lake Rotokauri any fixed stand, pontoon, hide, maimai, or loo, except within 85 metres of the margin of the said lake.

It shall be an offence for any person to wilfully leave on the hunting ground any black swan(s) shot or the mutilated bodies of any black swan(s) shot.

It shall be an offence for any person to herd or drive black swan(s) for the purpose of hunting or killing them.

It shall be an offence to shoot game from any unmoored boat on the Waikato River north of the boat ramp at the confluence of the Mangawara Stream and the Waikato River at Taupiri on any of the first three days or the second weekend of the open season.

OPEN SEASON FOR GAME IN A DESCRIBED AREA OF THE FIRTH OF THAMES FOR THE 1984 GAME SEASON
An open season for game is declared in that area of the Firth of Thames hereinafter named the Firth of Thames Open Game Area and being that area that is enclosed between the boundary of the Auckland Acclimatisation District and a line connecting the points on that boundary by passing through Orete Point on the west side of the Firth and the southern headland of Fantail Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula subject to the conditions specified hereto and in the First Schedule.
Conditions

Game may only be hunted or killed in the Firth of Thames Open Game Area in compliance with conditions specified for the Auckland Acclimatisation District 1984 open season for game.

Any licence authorising the holder to hunt or kill game within the Auckland Acclimatisation District for the 1984 open season for game shall similarly authorise the holder to hunt or kill game in the Firth of Thames Open Game Area.

Special Conditions

It shall be an offence for any person to wilfully leave on the hunting ground any black swan(s) or parts of bodies of black swan(s) or other game, shot in the Bay of Islands Acclimatisation District.

The approval to hunt or kill waterfowl while not in flight, as stated in the First Schedule of this notice, shall not apply in respect of black swan (Cygnus atratus) at Lake Omapere where the hunting or killing of black swan not in flight shall be an offence.
