State Forest Land Set Apart as a Dedicated Area—Lindsay Ecological Area—Southland Conservancy

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Forests Act 1949 (as inserted by section 2 of the Forests Amendment Act 1973, and amended by section 5 of the Forests Amendment Act 1976), the Minister of Forests hereby gives notice that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart and dedicated for the purposes of protection, maintenance, and management of trees and other plants, and for the protection of the natural environment and native wildlife, and for scientific purposes, especially ecological purposes. The area so dedicated will be known as Lindsay Ecological Area.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—WALLACE COUNTY

119 hectares, more or less, being parts Sections 5, 6, and 8, Block IV, Lilburn Survey District, part New Zealand Gazette, 1929, page 2869, as shown on plan D45/11, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington. (S.O. 10389).

Private School Conditional Integration Act 1975

PURSUANT to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education and the Proprietor of the following school:

St. Bernard’s School, Lower Hutt

The said supplementary integration agreement will come into effect on 26 January 1984. Copies of the supplementary integration agreement are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, National Mutual Building, Featherston Street, Wellington and at regional offices.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Amendment Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 1754/B Flameproof industrial clothing (materials and design)
Gratis.

Amendment B supersedes the New Zealand 1963 Amendment A to BS 1547:1959 (NZS 1754:1963). This amendment allows for the use of slide fasteners for protective clothing intended for use in situations where metal splashes are unlikely to occur.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 30 March 1984.

Mount Maunganui Borough—Tauranga County Boundaries Definition Notice 1984

PURSUANT to section 48 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Secretary for Local Government gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Mount Maunganui Borough—Tauranga County Boundaries Definition Notice 1984.

  2. The boundaries of Mount Maunganui Borough and Tauranga County are hereby defined as set out in the Schedules hereto, those boundaries having been altered by Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette, 22 July 1982, No. 82, page 2417 and which came into force on 31 July 1982.

FIRST SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF MOUNT MAUNGANUI BOROUGH

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, containing 1945 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the generally eastern shore of Tauranga Harbour, being the south-western corner of part Ohuki 1C1, M.L. 13096 in Block XI, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding generally north-westerly along that shore of the Tauranga Harbour to the south-eastern corner of Section 17, S.O. 45378, situated in Block VI, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding generally westerly then northerly along the southern and western boundaries of the aforesaid section then continuing northerly along the western boundary of Sections 18, 17 aforesaid and 16, Block VI, Tauranga Survey District, Sections 138, 132, part 105, 139, 120, part 105 aforesaid, 104 and part 105 aforesaid, Block VII, Tauranga Survey District, to the northernmost corner of that section thence generally north-westerly along that shore of the Tauranga Harbour to the coast of the Bay of Plenty; thence generally south-easterly along that sea coast to a point on the production of the
