A84/223 A. M. Bisley and Company Limited, Christchurch: Amend Continuous Goods Service Licence No. 7847 by deleting the existing Special Conditions and substituting the following:
Special Conditions:
(1) The provisions of section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the cartage on 2 vehicles of components and tools used in connection with the licensees well drilling contracts throughout the South Island.
(2) The provisions of section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the cartage on 4 vehicles of:
(a) Components and tools used in connection with the supply and installation of irrigation equipment throughout New Zealand and
(b) Components and tools used in connection with the supply and installation of grain silos and grain handling equipment throughout New Zealand.

Transport Licensing Authority Sitting
PURSUANT to sections 120 and 135 of the Transport Act 1962, the No. 5B Transport Licensing Authority (I. P. Wollerman), has received the under-mentioned applications and will hold a public sitting at Hastings City Council Chambers, Lyndon Road, Hastings, commencing at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, 4 December 1984.
Evidence-in-chief of applicants and their witnesses must be presented in writing at the hearings. Copies are to be made available for the Authority and likely objectors. Adjourned applications have not been readvertised.
Nimon and Sons Limited, Martin Place, Havelock North. Amend Continuous Passenger Service Licence No. A 5781 by extending the route to include via Flaxmere Shopping Centre to Diaz Drive and Scott Drive and by substituting a new timetable. A copy of the new proposed timetable can be obtained from the Ministry of Transport offices in Napier. Amend Transport Service Licence No. 10207 by adding the following special condition:
With exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the carriage of general goods picked up, or set down, in the cities of Napier and Hastings and all locations served by the routes between these 2 cities which have already been transported to, or are to be transported from the area by road or rail. Nothing in this exemption shall be construed as authorising the carriage of any goods by road outside of the defined area for a distance greater than would be authorised if this exemption had not been granted.
Terence Phillip Patterson, P.O. Box 648, Napier: Application for a new Goods Service Licence with the following special conditions:
- (i) Green Cattle Hides from the freezing works at Waitara, Wanganui in the No. 6 Goods Service District and Feilding, Longburn and Waingawa in the No. 7 Goods Service District to the factory of Hawkes Bay Hide Processors Limited at Napier.
(ii) Empty hide bins from the No. 5B Goods Service District and to, from and between Waitara, Wanganui, Feilding, Longburn and Waingawa in the Nos 6 and 7 Goods Service Districts, with the exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

From the premises of J. Wattie Canneries Limited, Hastings in the No. 5B Goods Service District to the stores of Dominion Breweries Limited, Oasis Industries Limited, New Zealand Breweries Limited and J. Wattie Canneries Limited within the area of the Auckland Regional Authority, pallets of empty beer and beverage cans. The pallets are to be labelled with the words Beer or Beverage cans as the case may be. From the Auckland Regional Authority area to the premises of J. Wattie Canneries Limited, Hastings, Pallets and Packing materials which have been used for onward conveyance of empty beer and beverage cans. With the exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

(a) Foodstuffs (other than frozen foodstuffs) produced by J. Wattie Canneries Limited or its subsidiaries.
Route: Hastings to Hamilton to Auckland and return.

(b) Empty pallets and packaging.

District Nos: 5B, 4, 3 and 2.
"Upon any judgement being given in the High Court or on appeal therefrom setting aside the grant to Freightsways Road (Hawkes Bay) Limited of General Goods Service Licence No. 0029137 or referring back to the Transport Licensing Appeal Authority the decision thereon or upon the giving of any decision by the Transport Licensing Appeal Authority modifying or reversing such grant (whichever shall first occur) the licensee will forthwith apply to the proper Transport Licensing Appeal Authority for his consent to the amendment or deletion of the rights contained in the licence permitting the cartage as above in the terms of such judgment or decision."
- From Hastings into the Nos 3, 4, 5A, 5B, 6 and 7 Goods Service Districts, pre-cast plain reinforced or pre-stressed concrete products manufactured by Unicast Concrete Limited, Hastings. Exempt from the provisions of section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for:
(a) The cartage of concrete bridge beams with a minimum length of 14 metres.
(b) The cartage of concrete products that are too large or too heavy to be carried by rail.
- With exemption from section 109 (1) of the Transport Act 1962 for the cartage of integral parts for assembled farm implements and assembled farm machines carried on the same vehicle or a following vehicle as the implement or machine to which they are a part and which departs and arrives at the same time as the parent load throughout the North Island.
Applications for amendment, with one Vehicle Authority each, for the following Transport Service Licences: Julian Te Urikore Delamere, 15 Stonehaven Street, Flaxmere, Hastings, No. 0025057; Ronald Clive McMullen, 59 Carnarvon Drive, Flaxmere, Hastings, No. 0025009; Raymond John Rowe, 26 Plunket Street, Tamatea, Napier, No. 0025062; Murray Kau Kau, 107 Dundee Drive, Flaxmere, Hastings, No. 22149; Rex Macauley Limited, 19 Clark Avenue, Pirimai, Napier, No. 22136; as follows:
