PURSUANT to sections 120 and 135 of the Transport Act 1962, as amended by the Transport Amendment Act (No. 2) 1983, the No. 10 District Transport Licensing Authority (F. H. K. Moore), gives notice of the receipt of the following application and will hold a public sitting in the Conference Room, Ministry of Transport, 245 Cumberland Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 4 December 1984, commencing at 11 a.m. to hear evidence for or against granting it.
A84/174 Sanitarium Health Food Company, Dunedin. Application to amend goods service licence No. 5317 by amending the exemption from section 109 of the Transport Act 1962 to read “own manufactured goods and up to 2 tonne of other products on any 1 trip, and return of empty pallets”. “Pursuant to section 109(8)(d) of the Transport Act 1962, the carriage of liquified petroleum gas in bulk liquid gas vessels and empty liquid gas vessels is permitted throughout the Nos. 8, 9, 10 and 11 Transport Districts and between Oaonui and/or Kapuni in the North Island and any point in the South Island in respect of 1 vehicle. All carriage to this exemption for and on behalf of Liquigas Limited.”

A84/230 Aztec Haulage Limited Auckland: New Continuous Goods Service Licence for the carriage of general goods.
Area: New Zealand.
Special Conditions:
(1) The provisions of section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on 1 vehicle of beverages and empty bottles and crates on the route Christchurch-Kaikoura and return 2 trips per month for and on behalf of Coca Cola Bottlers (Canterbury) Limited.
(2) The provisions of section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on 1 vehicle of beverages, empty bottles and crates on the route Christchurch-Oamaru and return, 1 trip per week, for and on behalf of Coca Cola Bottlers (Canterbury) Limited.
(3) The provisions of section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on 4 vehicles of non-alcoholic beverages manufactured or bottled by Coca Cola Bottlers (Canterbury) Limited or Ballins Industries Limited and fruit juices, powder drinks and paste mix manufactured by Ballins Industries Limited and on return journeys for crates and empty bottles.
(4) The provisions of section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on 1 vehicle of:
(a) Cordials, aerated waters and empty returned cordial and aerated water bottles in that area of the No. 9 Transport District north of the Rangitata River,
(b) Goods in bottles and jars and empty returns on the following routes for and on behalf of Ballins Industries Limited 1 trip per month:
Christchurch-Kaikoura and vice versa.
Christchurch-Waiau and vice versa.
Christchurch-Methven and vice versa.
Christchurch-Springfield and vice versa.
(5) The provisions of section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on 2 vehicles on the following routes for non-intoxicating drinks being the property of Quill Morris Cowles Limited:
Routes:
Christchurch - Waipara - Cheviot - Kaikoura (as 1 route), 1 trip in each calendar month.
Christchurch - Rakaia - Ashburton - Timaru (as 1 route), 1 trip per calendar month.
Christchurch-Springfield, 1 trip in each calendar month.
Christchurch - Waikari - Culverden - Hanmer - Waiau and return, 1 trip per month.
(6) The provisions of section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on 1 vehicle in the Canterbury province with extension to Springs Junction of aerated waters and cordials and bottles.
A84/219 Reid Distributing Company Limited, Christchurch: New Goods Service Licence for the carriage of general goods.
Area: New Zealand.
Special Condition: The provisions of section 109(1) of the Transport Act 1962 shall not apply to the carriage on 2 vehicles of: bathroom vanity units, pedestal basins, shower bases, shower panels, bath splashes, standard baths and spa baths, toilet seats, Adonis wall-hung vanity tops, shaving cabinets and other bathroom products manufactured by Aakronite Industries Limited.
