Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

PURSUANT to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education and the Proprietors of the following schools:

  • St Joseph's School, Opunake.
  • St Thomas' School, Winton.

The said supplementary integration agreements come into effect on 13 September 1984. Copies of the supplementary integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the Department of Education, Head Office, National Mutual Building, Featherston Street, Wellington and at regional offices.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to sub-section (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated:

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5422 Code of practice for the use of LPG and CNG fuels in internal combustion engines—Part 2: CNG fuel. $15.00

This is the draft revision of NZS 5422:Part 2:1980. It was prepared at the request of the Ministry of Energy and is supported by the Ministry of Transport.

Information and data throughout the earlier standard has been updated in line with the current state of New Zealand’s experience with the application and operation of internal combustion engines using CNG as a fuel.

The draft applies to the design, construction, installation, operation, maintenance and fuelling of compressed natural gas (CNG) systems where CNG is used either wholly or in part as a fuel for internal combustion engines.

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price shown from the Standards Association of New Zealand, Wellington Trade Centre, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

NOTE—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 30 November 1984.

The Water Recreation (Gisborne) Notice 1984 Pro/Am Surfing Contest

  1. Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and Foreshores) pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979* and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8 and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Gisborne) Notice 1984.

    (b) This notice shall come into force on 14 October 1984 and shall remain in force until 28 October 1984.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, pursuant to regulation 13 of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979, the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall be reserved for the use of surfboards with preference to be given to competitors and supporting crews of the Pro/Am Surfing Contest.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water within 200 metres of the foreshore of Wainui and Makorori Beaches as marked red on plan M.D. 16208, deposited in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all other Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

  2. A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Secretary of Transport, Wellington, shall be erected at sites deemed necessary by the Regional Secretary.

Electrical Supply Regulations 1984

PURSUANT to regulation 24 (5) of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1984, I, Jack James Chesterman, Secretary of Energy, hereby declare that the annual interest rate of loans to uneconomic consumers shall be:

PURSUANT to section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, the Secretary for Transport hereby declares that the vehicle described in the Schedule attached hereto is a motorcycle for the purposes of the said Act.

The 3-wheeled vehicle with motorcycle controls and a 1200 cc Volkswagen engine bearing the number 1455307, built in 1984 by Daryl Slater of Pakuranga and Smith and Grove Holdings Ltd., trading as Takanini Spares and Repairs.
