sale of the land referred to in the Schedule hereto by the Wanganui
Harbour Board pursuant to section 143c of the said Act, and I
specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land in the Land Registration District of Wellington being Lot 9 on Deposited Plan 20490, containing 1117 square
metres, more or less, and comprising part of the land described in
certificate of title 12B/1226.

Notice of Approval of the Electrical Code of Safety Practice 1984

PURSUANT to section 24c of the Electricity Act 1968, I, Robert
James Tizard, Minister of Energy, give notice that on the 1st day
of October 1984, I approved the Electrical Code of Safety Practice
1984 issued by the Secretary of Energy on the 21st day of August
1984 and amended by agreement after the consultation required by
the Electricity Act 1968.

The Electrical Code of Safety Practice 1984 shall come into force
on the 4th day of October 1984.

Copies of the Electrical Code of Safety Practice 1984 may be
obtained from all Electrical Supply Authorities and District Offices
of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy.

Electric Lines Licence

Forfeiture of Mining Privilege

I, Robert James Tizard, Minister of Energy, acting pursuant to
section 21 of the Electricity Act 1968, hereby licence the Whakatane
District Council hereinafter referred to as "the licensee", to lay,
construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the
Schedule hereto. This licence is issued subject to the following
conditions:

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence may be cited as the Whakatane District Council
    Lines Licence 1984.

  2. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    regulation 10 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976 shall be
    incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except insofar
    as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  3. This licence is subject to compliance by the licensee with the
    Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations
    1976, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution
    of any of those regulations, except insofar as they may be inconsistent
    with the provisions of this licence.

  4. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a),
    (b), (d), (e) and (f) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply
    Regulations 1976.

  5. This licence shall come into force on the 30th day of September
    1984 and shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 2005
    unless it is sooner lawfully determined.

SCHEDULE

  1. A line for the transmission of electrical energy commencing at
    the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board's 33 kV transmission line
    at the junction of Ranapia Road and Rewatu Road, thence proceeding generally easterly along the northern and southern sides of
    Rewatu Road and generally northerly to and across the Whakatane
    River and Arawa Road to the south-western boundary of the
    Recreation Reserve being Lot 1, D.P.S. 12561, thence generally
    northerly and easterly along the western boundary of that lot to the
    western side of King Street in line with the southern boundary of
    Lot 1, D.P.S. 10000, thence northerly along the western side of
    King Street to a point on the southern boundary of the licensee's
    area of supply as described in the Schedule to the Whakatane District Council Electrical Supply Licence 1984*, the said line being
    more particularly delineated by means of a blue line on the plan
    numbered 2062/1, deposited in the office of the Electricity Division
    of the Minister of Energy at Wellington.

  2. A line for the transmission of electrical energy to the Whakatane District Council's water treatment station, commencing at a
    point on the western side of King Street at the southern boundary
    of the licensees area of supply as described in the Schedule to the
    Whakatane District Council Electrical Supply Licence 1984* thence
    southerly along the western side of King Street to a point in line
    with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.S. 10000, thence generally westerly southerly along the western boundary of the Recreation Reserve being Lot 1, D.P.S. 12561 to the northern side of
    Arawa Road, thence generally southerly and easterly along the
    northern side of that road to and across the Pokeno-Wellington via
    Gisborne State Highway No. 2 thence southerly along the eastern
    side of that highway to a point opposite the aforesaid treatment
    station, thence across that highway to the treatment station, the said
    line being more particularly delineated by means of a red line on
    the said plan numbered 2062/1.

Kapuni to Wellington Natural Gas Pipeline Duplication, South
Loops 15, 16 and 17, Notice of Application

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the provisions of the
Petroleum Act 1937, the Natural Gas Corporation of New Zealand
Limited has applied to the Minister of Energy for a Pipeline
Authorisation to construct and operate the above pipeline for the
conveyance of natural gas. The pipeline will pass through various
properties along the route which has been marked and is already
known to the property owners concerned.

The route is also shown on plans accompanying the application,
copies of which are available from the Pipeline Project Office,
Ministry of Works and Development, P.O. Box 12-184, Wellington
North.
