Notional Price for Wool (No. 3293; Ag. 4/53/2/7)

PURSUANT to subclause (4) of regulation 15 of the Wool Industry Regulations 1978, notice is hereby given that:

(a) The notional price of wool of 301.16 cents per kilogram (greasy basis), last calculated on the basis of the adjusted weighted average sale price fixed for wool sold at the Auckland wool sale on 29 June 1984, is substituted by a notional price of 376.50 cents per kilogram (greasy basis); and

(b) This price shall have effect from, and inclusive of, the 27th day of July 1984 and apply until either a further such price is so substituted or the commencement of the day on which the next approved wool auction sale in New Zealand takes place, whichever is the sooner.

As this price is above the Government’s supplementary minimum wool price of 320 cents per kilogram (greasy basis), no supplement is payable on wool sold during the period specified in (b) above.

There is likewise no grower retention levy payable, in terms of section 42 of the Wool Industry Act 1977, on wool sold during this period as the notional price is less than the ruling trigger price of 400 cents per kilogram (greasy basis).
