Sale of Wanganui Harbour Board Land

  1. George Frederick Gair, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143A (1) (a) and section 143C (1) (b) (i) of the said Act the sale of the land referred to in the Schedule hereto by the Wanganui Harbour Board pursuant to section 143c of the said Act, and I specify that my approval hereunder is effective from the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land in the Land Registration District of Wellington being Lot 13 on Deposited Plan 40544, containing 995 square metres, more or less and comprising all of the land described in certificate of title 12A/1402.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and pursuant to a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimairi District) Notice No. 5 1984.

The area and roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The Traffic (Waimairi County) Notice No. 3, 1979, dated the 12th day of February 1979†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waimairi County at Marshland, Burwood and Parklands.

All roads except Northcote-New Brighton Expressway and Woolston Burwood Expressway within the area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the northern boundary of Christchurch City with the western side of Hills Road and proceeding northerly, generally, along that roadside across Winters Road to a point 60 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said roadside from Walters Road; thence north-easterly, generally, across Hills Road, from its south-western side to its north-eastern side; thence south-easterly, generally, along that roadside to the western side of Walters Road, thence easterly, generally, across Walters Road from its western side to its eastern side; thence easterly, generally, along the northern side of McSaveney's Road to the western side of Marshland Road; thence southerly, generally, along that roadside across McSaveney's Road to a point 180 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said roadside from Briggs Road; thence easterly, generally, across Marshland Road, from its western side to its eastern side; thence north-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the southern side of Mairehau Road 280 metres measured westerly, generally, along that roadside from Burwood Road; thence northerly, generally, across Mairehau Road from its southern side to its northern side; thence easterly, generally, along Mairehau Road to a point 400 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said roadside from Burwood Road; thence southerly, generally, across Mairehau Road from its northern side to its southern side; thence easterly, generally, along the said roadside to a point 200 metres west of Royal Park Drive; thence northerly, generally, across Mairehau Road from its southern side to its northern side; thence northerly, generally, by a right line to a point on the southern side of Rothesay Road 500 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said roadside from Burwood Road; thence easterly, generally, along the southern side of Rothesay Road to the end of Rothesay Road; thence easterly by a right line to the coast of the Pacific Ocean; thence southerly, generally, along that coastline to the northern boundary of Christchurch City; thence westerly, generally, along that boundary to the commencing point.

Burwood Road: from Mairehau Road to a point 550 metres measured northerly, generally, from Mairehau Road, and from Rothesay Road to the northern end of Burwood Road (also known as Waitikiri Drive).

Prestons Road: from Burwood Road to a point 450 metres measured westerly, generally, from Burwood Road (also known as Alpine View Road).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waimairi County at Marshland and Burwood:

Guthries Road: from a point 50 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along Guthries Road from Marshland Road to a point 200 metres measured southerly, generally, along Guthries Road from Ford Road.

Hills Road: from a point 60 metres measured westerly, generally, along Hills Road from Walters Road to Prestons Road.

Marshland Road: from a point 120 metres measured northerly, generally, along Marshland Road from Prestons Road to a point 360 metres measured southerly, generally, along Marshland Road from Prestons Road.

Prestons Road: from Grimseys Road to a point 400 metres measured easterly, generally, from Grimseys Road; and from a point 300 metres measured westerly, generally, from Marshland Road to a point 800 metres measured easterly, generally, from Marshland Road.

The Traffic (Lake County) Notice No. 1, 1984

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and pursuant to a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, hereby give the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Lake County) Notice No. 1, 1984.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of February in each year and ending with the 10th day of February in each following year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour fixed by the said section, but, for the remainder of the year the roads are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.*
