Pursuant to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart, subject to the Housing Act 1955, for State housing purposes from and after the 16th day of June 1983.

Meat Industry Task Force (No. 3041, Ag. 4/1/21/21)

The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Right Hon. Duncan MacIntyre, has appointed a task force with the following terms of reference:

(i) To identify the weakness in the traditional meat marketing approach and define the capabilities required of the New Zealand meat industry to develop and operate a global meat marketing strategy to maximise returns to the nation in the light of changed market conditions.

(ii) To recommend how the industry should be organised (from the farm to the consumer) to achieve the requirements defined in (i) above.

(iii) To recommend any legislative changes that may be required consequent upon recommendations in (ii) above.
