PURSUANT to section 175 (3) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby authorises the Bruce County Council to reclaim an area of 3250 square metres, more or less, of Crown Land being part of the bed of the Taieri River at Taieri Mouth as shown on plan M.D.(S) 640 (S.O. 20201) deposited in the office of the Regional Secretary for Transport at Christchurch.

PURSUANT to section 63b (2) of the Forests Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the area of State forest land described in the Schedule hereto, having been set apart as Ruahine State Forest Park by a proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1976, page 69, hereby ceases to be part of Ruahine State Forest Park as from the date of publication hereof.

Appointing a Member and Deputy Member to the National Water and Soil Conservation Authority

PURSUANT to sections 5 and 10 of the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, I, The Honourable Sir David Stuart Beattie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, on the advice of the Minister of Works and Development, hereby appoint:

Garry Moore Glazebrook of Hastings, farmer,
to be a member of the National Water and Soil Conservation Authority, and

Ralph William Pile of Palmerston, farmer,
to be Mr Glazebrook’s deputy, from the date of this appointment until the 7th day of November 1983.
