Bay of Islands Electric Power Board Electricity Supply Temporary Licence

I, William Francis Birch, Minister of Energy, acting pursuant to section 20A of the Electricity Act 1968, hereby issue a temporary licence to the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board to supply electricity, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use all electric lines and works which may from time to time be required for the distribution and supply of electricity within the area specified in the Schedule hereto.

This licence is issued subject to the following conditions:

CONDITIONS

  1. This temporary licence may be cited as the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board Electricity Supply Temporary Licence 1983.

  2. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  3. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  4. Bulk supply at a nominal voltage of 33 000 volts and 11 000 volts shall be received from the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy’s substations located near Kaikohe and Kaitaia respectively or from such other additional point or points of supply as may be arranged between the Minister of Energy and the licensee.

  5. The systems of supply shall be described in paragraphs (a), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (j) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976. The primary distribution voltages shall be 33 000 volts and 11 000 volts between phases in the case of the system described in paragraph (f), and 11 000 volts between conductors in the case of the system described in paragraph (e). The system of supply authorised under paragraph (j) shall be a single-conductor earth-return system and the primary distribution voltages shall be 11 000 volts and 6350 volts between the conductor and the earth and the use of this system shall be subject to such terms and conditions as are from time to time laid down by the General Manager of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy.

The secondary distribution voltage shall be 400 volts between phases and 230 volts between any phase and neutral in the case of the 3-phase 4-wire system of supply, and 460 volts between outer conductors and 230 volts between each outer conductor and the middle conductor in the case of the 3-wire system of supply and 230 volts between conductors in the case of the 2-wire system of supply.

  1. This temporary licence, issued under section 20A (1) of the Electricity Act 1968 shall be in force for a period beginning on the 1st day of April 1983 and ending with the 31st day of March 1985 or the earlier issue of a licence under section 20 of the Electricity Act 1968.

Wellington City Council Electricity Supply Temporary Licence 1983

I, William Francis Birch, Minister of Energy, acting pursuant to section 20A of the Electricity Act 1968, hereby issue a temporary licence to the Wellington City Council to supply electricity within the area of supply as described in the First Schedule hereto and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use all electric lines and works which may from time to time be required for the distribution and supply of electricity within the Wellington City Council Area of supply, described in the First Schedule hereto and outside the area of supply as described in the Second Schedule hereto.

This licence is issued subject to the following conditions:

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence may be cited as the Wellington City Council Electricity Supply Licence 1983.

  2. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  3. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  4. (i) Bulk supply at the following normal voltages shall be received from the Ministry of Energy (Electricity Division) substations at 33 000 volts from Wilton Substation and Central Park Substation, and at 11 000 volts from Khandallah Substation and Central Park Substation, or from such other additional point or points of supply as may be arranged between the Minister of Energy and the licensee.

(ii) The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (d), (f), and (j) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976. The normal rated voltage of each primary distribution line shall be 11 000 volts or 3300 volts.

(iii) The system of supply authorised under the said paragraph (j) shall be a two-wire direct-current system at a pressure normally rated at 550 volts, and not to exceed 660 volts, for supply in conjunction with the licensee’s trackless trolley-omnibus system.

  1. This temporary licence issued under section 20A of the Electricity Act 1968, shall be in force for a period beginning the 1st day of April 1983 and ending with the 31st day of March 1985 or the earlier issue of a licence under section 20 of the Electricity Act 1968.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area described in Gazette, 1979, p. 308 and as shown on the plans marked NZE 842/1, 842/2, 842/3, 842/4, deposited in the office of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL those lines described in Gazette, 1979 at p. 308 and as shown on the plan marked NZE 716, deposited in the office of the Electricity Division of the Ministry of Energy at Wellington.

The Rotorua Area Electricity Authority Electric Supply Temporary Licence 1983

I, William Francis Birch, Minister of Energy, acting pursuant to section 20A of the Electricity Act 1968, hereby issue a temporary licence to the Rotorua Area Electricity Authority to supply electricity, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use all electric lines and works which may from time to time be required for the distribution and supply of electricity within the area specified in the Schedule hereto.

This licence is issued subject to the following conditions:

  1. This temporary licence may be cited as the Rotorua Area Electricity Supply Temporary Licence 1983.

  2. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  3. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof, or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
