The Mountainview High School Board of Governors Notice 1982,
Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister
of Education gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice shall be cited as the Mountainview High School
    Board of Governors Notice 1982, Amendment No. 1 and shall be
    read together and deemed part of the Mountainview High School
    Board of Governors Notice 1982* (hereinafter referred to as the
    principal notice).

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 30th day of November

  3. Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended as follows:

(a) Paragraphs (c) and (e) are hereby deleted. The two members
appointed pursuant to clause 3 (c) and 3 (e) shall continue in
office until the 27th day of January 1984 on which date
their terms of office shall expire.

(b) Paragraph (d) is hereby amended by deleting the words 'two
members' and substituting 'one member'. The two members
elected pursuant to clause 3(d) shall continue in office
until the 27th day of January 1984 on which date the
member elected pursuant to this notice shall commence
office. The term of office of the member elected pursuant
to this notice shall expire on the 31st day of July 1985.

(c) Paragraph 3 (i) is hereby amended by deleting the words
“Kingsdown” and “Te Maunga”. The member elected
pursuant to clause 3 (i) shall continue in office for the term
for which that member was elected.

  1. Clause 4 of the principal notice is hereby deleted.

The Water Recreation (Gisborne) Notice 1983—N.Z. National
Surfing Championships

I, Beryl Ann Ranger, Senior Executive Officer (Harbours and
Foreshores), pursuant to the Water Recreation Regulations 1979*
and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to sections 8
and 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby give the
following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Water Recreation (Gisborne) Notice 1983.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on 29 December 1983 and
    shall remain in force until 8 January 1984.

  2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto,
    pursuant to regulation 13 of the Water Recreation Regulations 1979,
    the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall be
    reserved for the use of surfboards with preference to be given to
    competitors and supporting crews of the N.Z. National Surfing
    Championships.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water within 200 metres of the foreshore of Wainui
and Makorori Beaches as marked red on plan MD 16208, deposited
in the office of the Secretary for Transport at Wellington.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the
    provisions of all other Acts and regulations not specifically exempted
    by this notice.

  2. A suitable notice as may be approved by the Regional Marine
    Officer, Ministry of Transport, Wellington, shall be erected at sites
    deemed necessary by the Regional Marine Officer.

Review of Duty Concessions and Approvals for Taps, Cocks, and
Valves

  1. The Customs Department is reviewing the concessions and
    approvals that have been granted for taps, cocks, and valves under
    Tariff heading 84.61 and Tariff items 84.61.021 and 84.61.029.

Previous Notification

  1. The intention to review these particular concessions was initially
    published in the Customs Bulletin No. 165 of March 1983.

  2. A further notice was published in the Customs Bulletin No. 170
    (August 1983) which outlined the method by which the Customs
    Department would conduct the review.

  3. The Customs Bulletin No. 172 (October 1983) invited importers
    and manufacturers to comment on the list of valves that have been
