The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard
Specification Available for Comment

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 5435 Draft specification for liquefied petroleum gas. $7.

This draft Standard has been prepared to allow orderly economic
development of New Zealand’s indigenous fuel resources. It
specifies a number of LPG fuels of suitable technical standard
to meet the requirements of different LPG users whilst retaining
the flexibility required by LPG producers to allow best use to
be made of a national resource.

The US specification ANSI/ASTM D 1835–76 Standard
Specification for Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gas
was used by
the committee in the preparation of this draft, and much of
the technical information on which the Standard is based was
drawn from the report by the Liquid Fuels Trust Board
“Background Information for a New Zealand LPG Automotive
Fuel Specification” (Report LF 2023).

All persons who may be affected by this publication and who
desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the price
shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand,
Wellington Trade Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag),

NOTE—Payment must accompany all requests for drafts.
The closing date for receipt of comment is 5 March 1984.
Dated at Wellington this 29th day of November 1983.
