Establishment of Small Claims Tribunal

PURSUANT to section 4 (1) of the Small Claims Tribunals Act 1976,
I hereby establish tribunals to exercise the jurisdiction in respect
of small claims created by that Act at the following places—

Whangarei.
Tauranga.
Hastings.
Nelson.
Greymouth.

Each Tribunal shall be a division of the District Court at the
place in which it is located.

Notice Under Section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940

PURSUANT to section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940, the

by way of deposits in investment accounts under the said Act during
the investment period commencing on the 1st day of July 1983 and

Notice Under Section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940

PURSUANT to section 40 of the National Savings Act 1940, the
Minister of Finance hereby prescribes as follows:

(a) The 44th and last investment period during which investments
by way of deposits in investment accounts may be made
shall be the period of 1 year commencing on the 1st day
of July 1983 and ending on the 30th day of June 1984;

(b) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, the rate of interest
to be paid on such investments made during such
investment period shall be 3½ percent per annum;

(c) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, moneys invested as
aforesaid during such investment period shall be repayable
on the 30th day of June 1985, provided that where interest
is not withdrawn by the investor in accordance with section
8 (2) of the said Act, and is added to and becomes part of
the principal moneys of the investor under section 8 (3) of
the said Act, the amount of such interest together with any
interest thereon shall be repayable on the 30th day of June
1985.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Southland County) Notice
No. 3, 1983.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby
declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section
52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby
declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to
regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

The “Closely Populated Locality Extended and Limited Speed
Zone Declared” notice dated the 18th day of September 1962†,
issued pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and 27 (2) (a)
of the Traffic Regulations 1956 is hereby revoked.
