Declaring Land and Road Acquired for Railway Purposes
at Waipukurau
PURSUANT to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981, section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and all other powers enuring under that Act, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation hereby declares that an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen for railway purposes, from and after the 19th day of August 1982.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.
The Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice No. 1, 1982, dated 20 May 1982† issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is hereby revoked.
