At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 21st day of June 1982

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. D. MacINTYRE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour made after consultation with the unions, associations, and organisations referred to in section 5 of that Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. Title—This order may be cited as the New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Wairarapa Branch Order 1982.

  2. Exemption—The New Zealand Society for the Intellectually Handicapped (Incorporated), Wairarapa Branch, an organisation approved* by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of their sheltered workshops at 46 Bentley Street, Masterton, and at East Street, Greytown, from:
    (a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and
    (b) The Minimum Wage Act 1945, the Holidays Act 1981, and sections 10 (2) (b) and 15 of the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981.

    (a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and
    (b) The Minimum Wage Act 1945, the Holidays Act 1981, and sections 10 (2) (b) and 15 of the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981.

  2. Exemption—The New Zealand Crippled Children Society (Incorporated), Wellington Branch, an organisation approved* by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of its sheltered workshop at 14 Frankmore Avenue, Johnsonville, from:
    (a) All the provisions of every award and agreement that would otherwise apply to persons employed in that workshop; and
    (b) The Minimum Wage Act 1945, the Holidays Act 1981, and sections 10 (2) (b) and 15 of the Factories and Commercial Premises Act 1981.

Appointment of Honorary Vice-Consul for Mexico at Wellington

His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that the appointment of

Robert Halson Philpott

as Honorary Vice-Consul for Mexico at Wellington, with jurisdiction throughout New Zealand, has been provisionally recognised.

Chairman of Conciliation Councils Appointed

PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Act 1976, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Conciliation Councils for a term expiring on 31 March 1983.

Ernest George Davey, Chairman.
James William Dempsey, Deputy Chairman.
