(iii) On deposits for any period of not less than 6 months but less than 3 years, that specified in clause 1 (1) (a), (b) and (c) as appropriate to the actual term the deposit has been held.

Provided that, where money is withdrawn because of the death of the investor the rate of interest payable may be the rate applicable to the full term.

  1. Reinvested Deposits—Any deposit not withdrawn after the completion of the specified term shall be treated as reinvested for a further similar term and the current rate appropriate to that particular term as specified in clause 1 of this notice.

  2. Revocation—The Post Office Savings Bank Investment Account Interest Notice 1982* is hereby revoked.

  3. Transitional Provisions—Notwithstanding the revocation of the Post Office Savings Bank Investment Account Interest Notice 1982, the rates of interest payable, and the conditions applying in respect of money which was deposited in investment accounts before the commencement of this notice shall be the same as those applicable to that money before the commencement of this notice until the expiry of the term of deposit.

  4. Explanatory Note—Clause 1 (1) fixes the rates of interest payable on 6-month, 1-year, 2-year and 3-year investment accounts. Clause 1 (2) fixes the rate of interest payable on money withdrawn at maturity and before the expiration of the specified periods of deposit.

Clause 2 provides for deposits not withdrawn at maturity to be reinvested.

Clause 4 limits application of the new rates to periods of deposit which commence on or after 9 August 1982.

Notice to Make Payment of Land Tax Under the Land Tax Act 1976

PURSUANT to the Land Tax Act 1976, notice is hereby given as follows:

Land tax on land held as at 31 March 1982 shall be due and payable in one sum on 7 October 1982 at any office of the Inland Revenue Department.

PURSUANT to regulation 9 (2) of the Surveyors Professional Regulations 1977, the following notice is hereby published.

SURVEYORS EXAMINATIONS

  1. The New Zealand Acts and Regulations written examination will be held on Friday, 19 November 1982, at 9 a.m.

Applications, on the proper form together with the prescribed fee must reach the Secretary of the Board before 30 October 1982.

  1. The professional interview will be held starting on Monday, 21 March 1983 at 8.45 a.m.

Applications, on the proper form together with the prescribed fee must reach the Secretary of the Board before 18 February 1983.

Revocation of Appointment of Honorary Social Worker Under the Department of Social Welfare Act 1971

CNG Fuel System Approvals

PURSUANT to regulation 90B of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 7) and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport, I, Trevor Alan Lister, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby approve the components listed in the Schedule hereto for inclusion in any CNG fuel system installed and operated in accordance with the requirements of New Zealand Standard NZS 5422, Part 2, 1980 (and any standard made in amendment thereto or in substitution therefor).
